Let me introduce more about myself first. I’m the eldest amongst my 4 siblings and my interest for the past few years has been Singapore’s transport system — the public transport that connects almost every corner of the country and how it evolves throughout the years.

Ever since I enrolled in BVPS, I have humbly received the IGRIP Award in Primary 1 and 2, the GR²IT Award in Primary 3 and 4, and have been appointed as a class monitor throughout my time at this school. Through these experiences, I learned to believe in myself and feel confident and ready to lead the team of prefects and support all Bukit Viewans in any way I can. I have consistently demonstrated the school values of Graciousness, Respect, Responsibility, Integrity and Tenacity.

One practical way I would like to improve the school is by introducing a Creative Corner, where students can draw or create something using recycle materials. This will give everyone, including teachers, a chance to express their creativity and make school more engaging.

With this role, I aim to build and manage a strong Prefect Team by ensuring equal responsibilities, fairness, clear communication, and strong support for one another. I will also promote a positive environment focused on kindness, anti-bullying, mental wellness, and the spirit of teamwork.

Let me share more about myself. I enjoy crocheting, arts, sports and listening to music. 

Throughout my years in BVPS, I have been appointed leadership roles every year. I was a class monitor in Primary 2, and appointed as a Prefect from Primary 3. I have also won a few school awards like Model Pupil Award, IGRIP Champion, Self-directed Learner, ECHA Award and also EAGLES (E21CC) Award. 

  I want to be the head prefect because I want to lead the school and make it a better place for everyone. I think I am capable of being the head prefect not only because I have won several  awards mentioned earlier, but I pride myself as a good student who follows all the school values.

I understand that being a Head Prefect involves working and empowering others. I understand communication and teamwork are of utmost importance being a leader. I am aware that if I be appointed as the Head Prefect, I will have more responsibilities on my plate and time management and prioritising tasks is crucial. I also want to lead by example.

As your Head Prefect, I would like to have a film shown every Tuesday to Thursday morning. The film would be motivational and shown according to the levels. The Primary 1s and 2s will be shown something they will be able to understand, enjoy and of course learn from whereas the Primary 5s and 6s will be shown something which will be more difficult to understand from the lower primary’s film but they will also learn something from it. From this, students will know what is happening around them and will be inspired to be like the people in the video.

As a Head Prefect nominee, I believe that I need to be a role model to everyone. I think I follow all the school values which are the GRIT: graciousness, respect, responsibility, integrity and tenacity. I promise to do the best I can to serve the school and help people when they need it. I always believe in one thing: Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you will land amongst the stars. I will always try and do my best even if there is a low chance I will succeed.

Ever since I joined our school’s prefect group, it has shaped who I am today, helping me embrace our school values to the fullest and now, I want to use that experience to lead with you and for you.

I would like to share why I would like to be your Head Prefect. Firstly, let me tell you more of myself. I love music. I enjoy playing the piano and drums. I also enjoy folding origami. Doing these activities helps me to take my mind off from stress. I also like taking part in science and math competitions such as VNJSO, SASMO and SMKC as it challenges me and keeps me in check where my ability is. I was awarded the Gold award for VNJSO.

I was awarded a self-directed learner when I was in Primary 1, a high achievement in Science in Primary 3 and a CCA Contribution award in Primary 4. 

For a Head Prefect, I realised that working with others is important to get things done. I am open to cooperating with others. I enjoy solving problems, especially brainstorming and discussing with others when facing difficulties. Whatever I do, I put all my effort into it.

If I am elected as a Head Prefect, I promise to lead by example. I am fully aware that I have to be a good role model to others. I have to be careful in my words and actions so as to be an exemplary leader.  My vision for the school is for Bukit Viewans to be motivated learners and be more confident.

I believe that I am able to balance my duties as a head prefect and schoolwork.

I would like to introduce a motivational quote during every Monday morning assembly and create a corner where students can write encouraging or appreciation messages for others. This helps to create a positive environment and a platform for students to voice their appreciation and thoughts.

Another exciting goal of mine is to help every Bukit Viewan develop critical thinking and reflective skills! When we challenge our minds and learn together, we unlock our full potential. I truly believe we can all grow and become self-directed learners together.

I am eager to serve BVPS with pride, my enthusiasm and dedication.

You can count on me to be responsible, always making sure my duties are done well.

I also believe in clear honest communication, which helps us understand each other better and work together smoothly.

To bring vision to my life, I have some exciting ideas! First, I'd love to create a 'Values Corner', a special place where we can all learn about and celebrate our wonderful school values of Graciousness, Respect, Responsibility, Integrity and Tenacity! A fun and engaging space where we can all become even better Bukit Viewans together.

To exercise our thinking skills, I'm proposing a 'Riddles Booth'! This would be a fantastic and fun way to use our brains, challenge ourselves, and enjoy some friendly competition. Learning can be an adventure!

Now here comes the main part, Why do i want to be a head prefect. 

It is because I believe that I can make the school a better place for learning and others. 

I think i am capable becauseI am very responsible and i like a gracious learning environment. 

What would i do if i am a head prefect/?

I would make a study corner in the library where all students can go do their silent studies. 

The students first need to show their id cards to the librarian. Then, the librarian are to give the students a pass that they can use to enter. After use, students have to give back the pass to the librarian every 20 minutes. 

With your helping hand, I will be able to make the school a better place to study ! Thank you!

But before I begin, let me introduce myself a little more. I love the colours blue and purple, have a deep love for cats, and an absolute obsession with reading Harry Potter!

Over the past two years as a Prefect, I have strived to be friendly, supportive, and respectful to both my teachers and classmates. If chosen as Head Prefect, I would like to propose a positive change in our school community: I believe that having a few minutes of free time at the end of lessons would allow students to relax and reflect on what they have learned.

I believe I have demonstrated our school values—Graciousness, Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, and Tenacity—through my actions and attitude. I am truly grateful for this opportunity to share my thoughts with you today.

First, a bit more about myself. Some of my hobbies include reading, playing video games and playing sports.

I want to be Head Prefect because I believe every student at Bukit View deserves to feel included, respected, and proud of our school community. I’m passionate about creating a positive environment where everyone feels safe to express themselves and enjoy their school experience.

With strong leadership , empathy, and teamwork, I hope to bring students together through fun , meaningful initiatives that celebrate our diversity  and build a stronger, more united Bukit View. I believe I’m confident in managing my time to complete tasks quickly and efficiently. I also believe I have the courage to speak up and voice the concerns of my peers. I believe in being both responsible and a strong communicator!

If you vote for me to be your head prefect, every Monday, I’ll share a positive message during assembly. It will inspire and motivate students to start their week with good energy and a positive mindset. Let’s make Mondays something to look forward to! At the end week, students can also nominate their friends who have shown kindness, honesty, or any other positive behavior. This allows everyone to appreciate and recognize the good deeds happening around them.

Every Friday, students write a short note and pin it on the notice board. These notes act as votes of appreciation. The Prefectorial Board will review and compile all the nominations.

The number of nominations each student receives will contribute to choosing the Model Student. This system encourages positivity, peer recognition, and a strong sense of community.

First, let me introduce myself. I am the second child of my four siblings. Since young, I enjoyed drawing and painting. So, my mother enrolled me in art classes every week to help me enhance my art skills. I am now learning how to paint without sketching! Another thing I also like is music. That is also one of the reasons why I joined Angklung!

So, why me? It is because, I always carry out my duty’s properly and diligently. I am responsible, hardworking and I care about making the school a better place! I will also listen to all of your ideas and do my best to help make the school life more fun and meaningful.

One thing I would like to add to the school if I become head prefect is a special corner at either the Tinker Thinker room or the snake and ladders area. There, you will get to do origami on every Tuesday! I think this would give us all a fun and creative way to relax during our free time.

Lastly to end it off, being a leader, is an opportunity for me to learn and grow as an individual and in a team!

I am Shon Sirsamkar from 5 Responsibility, and today I would like to share with you why I believe I should be your next Head Prefect. But first, let me introduce myself.

One of my favourite hobbies is playing sports. I am a member of the school badminton team and have proudly represented our school at the National School Games since Primary 3. Last year, I won a gold medal in the Singles category. I was also selected for the Junior Sports Academy, where I’ve had the chance to try new sports like sailing.

Another hobby of mine is reading. I especially enjoy the Percy Jackson series and other books about Greek mythology – they inspire me with stories of courage, leadership, and perseverance.

My vision for our school is to create an inclusive and caring environment where every student feels safe, happy, and excited to come to school each day. I want all of us to leave Bukit View with fond memories we’ll cherish for life.

I believe I have what it takes to be a good Head Prefect. I am able to manage my responsibilities well while keeping up with my studies. I am disciplined, a quick learner, and a confident communicator.

If I am elected Head Prefect, one initiative I would like to introduce is a Gardening Corner. It would be a fun, hands-on space where students can learn about plants, nature, and healthy eating. It could be used during recess or science lessons, giving us a chance to connect more with the environment.

Being a Head Prefect isn’t just about wearing a badge – it’s about setting a good example, supporting others, and helping to make our school an even better place. That’s why I believe in the saying, “With great power comes great responsibility.” If given the chance, I promise to use that responsibility not to boss others around, but to listen, lead with kindness, and serve our school community with respect.
