Percy Jackson, a son of Greek god Poseidon, thought that he was as ordinary as any other half-blood and would be able to get into collage. But no, his uncle, Zeus, is making Percy earn 3 recommendation letters form 3 different god for doing their quests. So he will not be getting into college as easily as he thought. Another example of conflict is when Zeus has an immediate brunch and Ganymede needs his chalice immediately.

Percy Jackson and his two friends, Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood go on their first quest that is only them since the Lightning Thief. In order for Percy to get into collage with Annabeth, he has to get into New Rome University. He gets his first quest from Ganymede to retrieve his Chalice of the Gods. So he go to 2 different goddesses that have had the job. They discover that the God of old age took it to prevent people from becoming immortal and to prevent old age. They get the Chalice back to Ganymede in time for brunch

The most possible and likely theme of the book Percy Jackson and The Olympians The Chalice of The Gods is “Free Will”. The reason for this likely being the theme is because in the book when Percy returns the Chalice to Ganymede, his father says that he could have not returned the chalice and let Ganymede face his fate. But he didn’t. He gave Ganymede his chalice and everything turned out fine.

Why I Love This Book

The reason I love this book is because it contains adventure, a little bit of history, friendship, and Greek Mythology. I like it when the main characters go on adventures and go on the next part of their quest! I love history so it makes sense that one of the reasons I love this book and all of the other book in the series, is because it contain background info and history! I love that the book also contains moments where it is just Percy and Grover Talking or When Percy is with Annabeth. It's fun to watch the progression of the friendships in this book! I also absolutely LOVE GREEK MYTHOLOGY! It's so fun to learn about and it's fun to read a little bit more fictional story(s) about it! You can see why In chose this book to do my poster on!
