1. During negotiations, know your bottom line and be willing to walk away for good.
2.In communication, substance is worth more than form, most of the time.
3.Buisness communication is slowly becoming more friendly than before.
4.There are three parts to business communication: lead-stating purpose; middle-appeal/sell it; end-call the people to action.
5.If in doubt, always error on the side of short and more formal.
6.Steve jobs pointed out that you cannot connect the dots looking forward, it is not until years later that you can see that everything happens for a reason.
7. The four most important parts of business communication are goal, audience, tone, and structure.
8. Always proof read or peer review if necessary.
9. When writing, never assume the reader will care and never assume they will act.
10. When it comes to impressions, remember that once you lose someone (they think less of you or get a bad impression), it is way harder to get the good impression back.

No contractions in business communications.
7. If you have attachments, use details in the attachment, not in the email.
8.

1. JFK was a military leader with a lot of confidence. He often used humor to engage his audience and make them feel more at ease in sometimes tense situations.
2. Steve Jobs was a very aggressive person with a lot of confidence also. He had seen both success and failure in his endeavors. Jobs knew to bounce back and continue. His near death experience gave him an edge of living to the fullest and enjoying each new day life gave him.
3. JFK acknowledged the upper tier of persons within his audience to recognize their own accomplishments of what they had achieved in title but also to let them know he was in favor of their being in the audience.
4. What is the significant role of the speaker? The role is to serve the audience as long as you know what is good for the public, then discuss how the audience can help with your role. A speaker is to serve the audience and take care about the future.
5. How to overcome stage fright? The speaker should rehearse and relax with thoughts of the audience being among their friends and colleagues.
6. I do believe in the lecture that fear is a constant enemy.
7. Do you agree that public speaking can change the world? I do agree that public speaking can reach more people. What is the purpose/objective the speaker will lead to the audience and different level, sell it and call to action to build a relationship base.
8. JFK is a very dynamic speaker. He used his humor to relax the audience but could also be very somber and serious when needed. Many of his speeches are memorable and often quoted by other speech writers.
9. Steve Jobs used the connect the dots example of always building on the talents and schools that a person has already accomplished. This method is a building block method of using what you have been trained at to further your progression to a higher level.
10. Always strive to make a good impression on the audience. It is a foundation to a better relationship. Once a bad impression is set, it is very difficult to turn that around in the future.
