         <description><![CDATA[<p>ISBN 9780742551886</p><p>The subject is about African Americans in the Great Depression.</p><p>On page 73 it says although the communist party in this period called for a popular front strategy of working with liberal groups including the Democratic Party so they could talk about African Americans civil rights</p><p>On page 86 they talk about of the angry protests become a full blown riot, causes dozens of injuries and hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage caused by they riots</p><p>On pages 92 and 93 it says while poor whites housing costs amounted to approximately a quarter of their income, while black families more than half of there entire earnings on rent</p>]]></description>
