Written Assignment/ Rationale and Paper 2 are more of a challenge to students than Paper 1
Be more specific in the rationale, start with the aim and linking it with the book. 
Have a check list from IB guide and peer-edit the rationale
Appears to be a higher weighting on rationale and organisation for WA

Paper 2:
Making the connections with TOK, applying the skills
Orals:
Individual
- what you learn from the test
-what you learn from your research
- How you can apply in the real world

Pair
Skit- demonstrating a real world situation/ appropriate language and content

Meeting deadlines:
G11 hand in a WA and to do another one at G12 and then the students get to choose which they prefer. (Should attempt to get individual student reports from IB)

Recommendation to focus on 2 options and then develop it deeply and then trying to weave the core topics into them. Choose the options that are naturally accessible to the students


Feedback form for presentation and to set a target and and revisit and apply the reflections in the following month

Mock Exams- Use a mix-match of past year papers. Paper 2 B can be quite tricky, need to come up with your own questions.

For assessment:
- Focus on certain criterion
-Over the word limit: include the word count, and then get different students to write into other text types

Rationale is very important and must connect to the WA. Good to give a template for the students- sentence starters etc. 

Text types should be comfortable to the students and should steer clear from the diary textile; short story may be too tough for most students

Plagiarism- Get students to write in class, get students to explain if discrepancy is noted.

Uploading the work- better to accomplish that earlier than later. Try to reduce the size of the files and complete all the labelling asap and all files kept in a folder; also make sure you have an additional copy for the Coordinator
