         <description><![CDATA[<div>Have a complete run of all the assessments in Grade 11, including the Written Assignment<br><br>Describing images, providing vocabulary; more on language acquisition.<br>Focus on 10 words- synonyms, sentences, definitions<br>Vocabulary books<br>Get words from practice paper<br><br>Written Assignment/ Rationale and Paper 2 are more of a challenge to students than Paper 1<br>Be more specific in the rationale, start with the aim and linking it with the book.&nbsp;<br>Have a check list from IB guide and peer-edit the rationale<br>Appears to be a higher weighting on rationale and organisation for WA<br><br>Paper 2:<br>Making the connections with TOK, applying the skills<br>Orals:<br>Individual<br>- what you learn from the test<br>-what you learn from your research<br>- How you can apply in the real world<br><br>Pair<br>Skit- demonstrating a real world situation/ appropriate language and content<br><br>Small Group<br>Giving picture prompts<br><br><br>Meeting deadlines:<br>G11 hand in a WA and to do another one at G12 and then the students get to choose which they prefer. Paper 2 B can be quite tricky, need to come up with your own questions.<br><br>For assessment:<br>- Focus on certain criterion<br>-Over the word limit: include the word count, and then get different students to write into other text types<br><br>Rationale is very important and must connect to the WA. Good to give a template for the students- sentence starters etc.&nbsp;<br><br>Text types should be comfortable to the students and should steer clear from the diary textile; short story may be too tough for most students<br><br>Plagiarism- Get students to write in class, get students to explain if discrepancy is noted.<br><br>Uploading the work- better to accomplish that earlier than later. Try to reduce the size of the files and complete all the labelling asap and all files kept in a folder; also make sure you have an additional copy for the Coordinator<br><br>G7-12 Integration of skills:<br>Whole school literacy drive<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
