Slippery Slope Fallacy
The slippery slope fallacy is describing an idea that lead to disasterous consequences. Generally speaking these techniques use very bold accusations that are not always true. In this case the disasterous consequence is civil war. The cause of this consquence is being anti-god. Then being anti-god leads to being anti-American and anti-American is treason which will lead to a a civil war.

Scare Tactics
The logical fallacy used is scare tactics, which convinces the audience to support its' argument through instilling fear. The creator of the ad elicits fear by displaying the result of not solving environmental issues such as climate change. The picture depicts a human-fish hybirid that has adapted to the changes in the environment. The inclusion of the image evokes global fear because most would not want to look like this or have their future children to look like this.

Scare Tactics
This advertisement is an example of scare tactics, which is a logical fallacy that creates fear in people as evidence to support its argument or claim. The advertisement is directed towards to the smokers and also to the mothers who have been smoking regularly during their pregnancy. It also provokes fear by portraying a child who is suffering from smoking because of his mother who constantly smokes. This ad also evokes the feeling of pity to the child because just by looking at the child's face, you can see that the he is crying and how the smoke is slowly killing him.

This advertisement acts as an "either or" fallacy in that it only portrays two extreme sides in the conflict (the Vietnam War): America or Vietnam/the terrorists. During the Vietnam War, many Americans began to lose faith in their country due to the disapproval of killing innocent civilians in Vietnam at the time. With the American government aware of the people's disloyalty and the growing division within the country, this ad was put out to propose an ultimatum to them: either they were with America and allowed them to continue fighting the war the way they wanted, or they were with Vietnam and branded as terrorists. With the two extreme sides presented, Americans were quick to realign themselves with their country interests despite the horrors inflicted to others by it.

This ad uses scare tactics as a logical appeal to spend a message to the audience. The fear of the consequences of smoking cigarettes, such as strokes and heart disease, in our lives makes us more likely to avoid smoking. The image of the person illustrates what these consequences may look like, fueling the audience's fear. The man in the picture is wearing a dress shirt and a tie, typical work attire that most people can identify with. These scare tactics target those who currently smoke cigarettes most since they are the audience at the greatest risk.

This advertisement uses scare tactic because the advertisement is intended to people who smoke but not only to regular people. It is meant for parents who smoke around their children. Parents love their children so this advertisement is meant for them so they can think about their children first and think about what is good for their health. Parents around the world have the fear of losing their children so they would do anything to keep them alive.

This advertisement use the picture that a man who has his cigarette in his hand, and the shade on the wall is a pistol. It uses how dangerous that smoking is like a pistol that can kill and the stats under it shows the number of how many people die under it and use scare tactic to warn audience smoking is dangerous. i think the point of this advertisement is the number of how many people die by smoking, it effect a lot to the audience to let them know how dangerous is it.

This advertisement is considered to be a bandwagon fallacy because it groups a huge number of people (the population of America) and makes it seem like everyone has used this mascara. Once we see such a bold statement, we get curious and purchase that mascara to see what America considers to be the best mascara. This especially catches the attention of young girls in junior high who are just starting to wear makeup and are clueless on which mascara to buy.

This is mainly directed to anyone who doesn't already have an iPhone or just someone who is looking to upgrade their phone.

"More Doctors Smoke CAMELS than any other cigarette!” In this example they are not using a famous celebrity, instead they are using the authority figure of a doctor that makes it sound like many doctors smoke camel cigarettes. The magazine article uses the doctor as a symbol of authority because if doctors are being portrayed as smoking cigarettes then people will think that if doctors smoke Camel cigarettes then it must not be harmful to your health and it’s okay to smoke Camel cigarettes. When trying to identify an argument or advertisement that appeals to authority I believe it is very easy but sometimes it's hard to not believe what is being said and want what the authority figure is advertising.

Along the way, murdered and thrown into a wooded area known as the RobinHood Hills.
