Today, the 26 of September, is the European international day, with the aim to promote languages learning throughout Europe for people of all ages. The European International Day of Languages ​​has been celebrated since 2001!



In Europe, there are around 225 languages ​​spoken. This may seem like a lot, but it only represents around 3% of the world's total!


Overall, English is the most widely spoken language in the EU, however the most widely spoken native language is German (followed by French).


The most difficult language in Europe is Hungarian


"euskera" is the oldest living language in Europe. This is what most linguists, experts and researchers say.
