The Good Samaritan is a parable told by Jesus. It's about a man

who was robbed of his belongings, and was left to rot in the

streets. First, a priest comes by and sees the man on the street.

The priest ignored the man because he was a germaphobe and

also thought he was dead. The Levite had the same assumption

of the man and continued to go along with way. Then a Samaritan

saw this man on the side of the road, and patched his wounds,

and took him to the inn, paying for the wounded man's stay at the

inn, and then promised to return to pay any extra expenses. In a real

life scenario, we would be hesitant to help people who are in need. As

humans we always play the bystander and waiting for someone else to

take action and play hero. In this case the Samaritan played the hero

role and ignored the fact that he man might be his own enemy.
