Even though Marcus' dad apologizes to Marcus about him being wrong about the government, he yelled at Marcus saying that the government had good morals. A stranger on the Xnet messages Marcus trying to find out where he is located, but Marcus doesn't give away his information.  The next morning, Marcus' dad reads in the paper that the DHS is going to get more money to further their plans.  Marcus becomes really upset with this information because he knows what the DHS did to him, and he doesn't want it to continue.  A man who is a user of the Xnet, an Xnetter,  called into a radio station and spoke about how the Xnet is not full of terrorist, but full of "jammers" who are jamming the system and causing problems.  While Marcus is on the Xnet, he hears a van outside his door.  He sees a man, in a DHS uniform, who pulls out a wifinder and scans Marcus' house.  At the end of the chapter, Marcus spoke to Jolu and they plan the web-of-trust party.

When she said "anyone," it showed that Marcus' father was ready to do anything to have Marcus back.
