I hate it when people come to a place to ask for a service or a product and it's rude. It is quite clear that if you are being provided with any service in the kindest way possible, you should be polite to that person and show respect, and not be rude.
It's the worst thing you can do if you're with someone and even worse if there are people who know you. You should be polite and be a better person.
