Once we had our "breakthrough ideas", we came together as a class and used this protocol to PUSH our ideas a little further. This gave us our top ten ideas! (pic on next section)

Once we had our top ten ideas, we used the Dot Voting protocol to pick which one was the class favorite. Each student was given 2 dots to pick their favorites. Student of the Day was the clear winner!

Bug List

This was a fun one - we wrote down everything that bugs us related to our driving question and how students learn about one another at school.

Once the students came up with the idea, we created a schedule for them to BE the student of the day. They really enjoyed connecting it back to the driving question by sharing a custom/tradition/something special and meaningful to them during our circle time (as well as being line leader for the day, getting a special seat and more!)
