Through coaching, the learners are more likely to be impacted by information being passed on considering it will be ongoing for some time. It also helps build good rapport with them, they feel seen, heard and confident to really speak out their hearts and minds. There will be more openness.

By listening to them and let them speak, we might learn more about the difficulties that the students are facing. no one sided judgement / assumptions about the students' issues

The student had really good vocabulary with which to use to express her experience of her growth and learning. The teacher prompted with lots of open questions and rephrased with specific vocabulary.
