         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Pre-Reading Task #5: Guessing from Pictures<br></strong><br></div><div>The teacher finds 3 pictures or objects which are connected to the story and ask the students to guess how they are connected. <br><br></div><div>Students read the text to check if they were right or wrong about the story connections they made.<br><br><strong>Our Perspective <br></strong>- Asking students to look at the cover and think of words they know in Greek to describe what they see and what they think will happen in the story. <br>- Text to text, text to self and text to world. <br>- Making connections to stories or texts that they know from English. <br>- Scaffold student learning. </div>]]></description>
