If you think science doesn't affect you ,lets quickly reflect on your average daily routine : Your alarm goes off , you fix up a stiff cup of coffee , next thing you check is your latest weather report, the tar you drive on, the bus you ride in, your decision to eat a baked potato instead of fries, your cell phone, the antibiotics that treat your sore throat, the clean water that comes from your tap, and the light that you turn off at the end of the day have all been brought to you courtesy of science. The modern world would not be modern at all without the understandings and technology enabled by science. To make it clear how deeply science is interwoven with our lives, just try imagining a day without scientific progress. Just for starters, without modern science, there would be:

N<del>o way </del>to use electricity. From Ben Franklin's studies of static and lightning in the 1700s, to Alessandro Volta's first battery, to the key discovery of the relationship between electricity and magnetism, science has steadily built up our understanding of electricity, which today carries our voices over telephone lines, brings entertainment to our televisions, and keeps the lights on , if Eskom doesn"t send the latest stage for power cuts ,(singing : 1 2 3 nah nnn nah nah ..🤣

Share your thoughts regarding the recent power cuts , how it has affected you and any recommendations ....

Excellent video the effects on people and business of loadshedding. This impacts the loss of small business, criminal activity seems to increase, traffic jam and car crashes in cape Town is horrendous. I am battling to get to work on time although I leave home 2 hours early.

What's worse the damage to household appliances and all eskom can say it's loadshedding. It's unacceptable it impacts your life ito working on a budget for food and electricity.
With the increase of electricity the Government should seriously pay Attention to jacking up the country ans economy is being knocked up and no one is being held accountable for the mistakes that's been made.
SHARNE

Brilliant video reflecting how people use to value things in life. Comparison to now The Government and President Cyril Rhamoposa needs to re evaluate and see where he can cut cost and inject those available billions of Randssss... into a smart system that is eco friendly affordable and durable for longterm use. Even for the poorest of the poor.

The pensioners are the worst who suffers.
The Government should implement standing and being for the people and not for themselves.

God Bless South Africa.......

Electricity is a particularly high grade of energy and the lifeblood of a modern society that facilitates technological advancement with a lot of benefits such as economic growth just to mention. As much as South Africa is a developing country but I think we should have some other alternative ways of access to electricity, be it that big investments are needed🤷‍♂️
