Born as a king, a life full of ease.

He held the power, yet chose to release. 

To seek the truth of suffer and life,

He left it behind, through struggle and strife.

Pain, ascetic, sacrifice,

His heart’s true quest, sincere, to give advice.

No thrown or crown, only wisdom’s light,

He paved the way from dark to bright. 

He walked through the lost and poor, 

With arms opened, he sought for cure. 

He healed the sickness and comforted sorrow,

Being a true hero, that holds hope for tomorrow. 

Enemies being as unguided thoughts, 

Taken over the mind, like a tangled knot.

It is like ants crawling upon your heart,

Makes you distracted and needs to restart.

Heroes aren't only about power or being brave,

Or fights in danger, and lives being saved.

Siddhartha Gautama, always had hands open,

Showing the true hero’s spirit, that's why he is chosen.
