Feedback should be ongoing and consistent. I like to utilize every teachable moment as best as I can. Luckily, during our ESL class I have many opportunities to do so. Feedback is often provided during class discussions (i.e. use of tense, proper pronouns, etc.), journal writing and review (with teacher edits, writing suggestions, and peer edits), and through tasks with small exit tickets/ feedback reflection forms. I have attached a sample feedback form for reference. A feedback form presented in such a way often acts as a form of self-evaluation for students, however, also allows room for teacher input and contribution. :)
