Not only did the storm into what is one of the most important and meaningful buildings in united states but they also disgraced it. I think that there are a lot of double standards between whites and every single other race or also religion. For example if we compare this riot to a BLM one over the summer that were 97% peaceful police were literally escorting out people from the capitol, while in the BLM protests were people were fighting for their rights. There were deaths, people were getting teared gassed and arrested. This is not the only thing. They haven't been called super spreaders because they haven't been wearing masks and they were thousands together, but Asians have been discriminated and still are only because the virus started in China. They acted aggressive and like animals and they haven't been called savages because they aren't native. What infuriates me the most is how it is only for white people to be forgiven while they are committing crimes and black people are still being killed for trying to live. And how the president has laughed and smiled about this is disgusting. I was in 7th grade when 9/11 happened, and in addition to being shocked and confused and sad that day, all the grown-ups in my life were processing and crying and I felt very alone.
