He is an airline pilot who survived 36 days in the Amazon jungle, located in Brazil. 

It all started on 28 January when Felipe took off from Panama City to Brazil - Rio de Janeiro. 

Felipe would not have been happy if he had not made the journey that day. 

The reason for his trip was a long holiday on a lonely island, however, his plans were not fulfilled, because when he was driving the plane in which he was heading he suspected that the aircraft was suffering technical failures among those failures he ran out of fuel, while a torrential storm was falling causing an incredible turbulence. 

He tried to manoeuvre his plane with each and every one of his skills but this was not enough because the accident was unstoppable, from there Felipe says that everything went black and he does not remember anything else about it. 

When he woke up he was very injured in the middle of the jungle, he could only see parts of his precious plane, desperate and not knowing what to do he went to see if he could find a first aid kit, but the only thing he found was some gauze with which he tried to do some healing on his body, (if he had had a parachute, now he would not have such ugly scars on his body). 

However, he was very sick and had nothing to feed and eat, felipe knew that if he wanted to survive he had to find food and something to drink. 

It would be great to be in the jungle if it hadn't been an accident. 

So he noticed that in the middle of the leaves of the plants he could find fresh water from the rain that was still falling, so he drank water from there, which for some reason made him feel much better; after this he decided to spend the night right in the place where he had woken up in the hope that someone would find him when he saw parts of the plane that was more visible than he was on his own. As the night wore on he thought and said "if I hadn't been looking forward to this trip today, none of this would have happened".  

Over the next few days he found a nearby river, where he was able to feed on fish found there, bird eggs and wild fruits. 

As the days went by I thought and said if I had checked the plane very well before taking off none of this would have happened and I would have reached my destination. 

Outside the jungle, his relatives began to worry because there was no trace of him, so the search began a week after his disappearance; after 27 days of searching they managed to locate pieces of the plane from the airspace.  

If he had found a group of people he would not have spent 36 days lost in the jungle, if he had entered a territory of ferocious animals, he would now be dead and would not have been able to tell this story. 

Clearly Felipe was grateful, if he had not been found he would have had to face the hardships of surviving in the jungle.
