         <title>How do you get started when you have to do research ?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I usually go to the schools online scholarly articles and type in the topic that I am researching. I then look at the articles that are related to that first article to find more. I often read the abstracts and decide if this article is something of interest. If it is something of interest, I continue to skim through the rest of the article. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Occasionally I find it hard to find more than 4 primary source articles on a particular topic. I find a lot of reviews, but primary sources can be hard to find a plethora of on a particular specific topic. </div>]]></description>

         <title>What method do you use when you need to narrow your topic</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I often find that I pick too specific of topics that I do not find enough on my specific topic. If I pick a more vague topic, I try to narrow my topic down more in order to cut down on the amount of articles I can use.<br><br>I try to also use primary sources over reviews of articles or topics. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My strategy to expand my research and find useful articles is to find one great article to start. From that article, I look at the References section of the paper and glance at the articles listed. If a specific paper is cited a lot within the "great article" I've found, I start there - find it -and read it. This "piggyback technique" helps me narrow down other articles that, in theory, should really apply and pertain to my research topic because it was cited a lot in the "great article". </div>]]></description>

This usually helps to broaden the research topic and makes me re-focus and re-evaluate the additional directions I could incorporate into my research.
