Musical Theatre Performance: AMUSI4!

In the year 2022, I was given the privilege to manage the overall direction of the costumes as the overall Costume Head of the Theatre Production! Additionally, I was also given multiple roles to sing in this theatre performance, which contained 4 musicals in one. I couldn't have done it without my batch, as we were all given the role to host and head this PAID event. I'd post more pictures, but Padlet only allows us to post one. Oh well! I'm the cat wearing all brown on the far left holding a microphone by the way!

Musical Theatre Performance: Moana JR. (2023-2024)

It was a wonderful experience to be given another chance in helping host and be a participant at the same time AGAIN for 2023's Musical Theatre Production, Moana JR! Instead of being the one managing the costumes this time around, I was one of the lead singers and voice actors helping co-direct the choir for our play. This was a paid musical once again, and our batch was one of the two batches that helped in hosting this play.

In my former school, Southpoint, I was one of the go-to singers for performances such as music festivals and moving-up ceremonies as I loved to sing and exemplify my talent up on stage.

I love to read books, I really do, I have loved these ever since I was a child. Not only does this help cure my boredom, this also transports me to another world, a world that isn't my own, a world that will never be mine. Additionally, as my father encourages me to read self-help books as well instead of just fiction, I gain insight and wisdom from successful people with different perspectives and philosophies in life, broadening my knowledge and love for human nature as a whole. Moreover, I love reading books with strictly no pictures as I want to imagine the characters and situations on my own.

I've loved to draw ever since I was child, I'd doodle on my notes endlessly and I still do up until now, although I do try to keep my notes organized and tidy. Additionally, I've participated in numerous art contests and won, and at some point, even tried selling my art.

In my final year of Junior High School, I achieved notable works such as becoming the first placer (1st) in delivering a speech in a TedTalk style with no script at all, writing a poem that was selected to place first (1st) as well, placing second (2nd) in our school's spelling quiz, and placing third (3rd) in the Math Quizbowl, and most of all, achieving high honors (97% general average) by the end of the school year.

In Grade 9, I achieved second (2nd) place in our school's spelling quiz, song composition competition, and song interpretation. However, I placed third (3rd) place in our school's song duet competition and Math and Science Quiz Bowl. I also achieved a general average of 97% by the end of the school year.

During my year in Ateneo de Davao Senior High School, I was a consistent honor student and I managed to maintain my G.I.A scholarship. I would show my grades, but while the average of each semester are above 90, they are subpar in my opinion. The fact that I was unable to reach my standard last school year, makes me want to do better this school year (A.Y 2025 - 2026)

During the academic year of 2024-2025, I was the Assistant Secretary General. That meant that I had to take over when my seniors got busy, so I had my fair share of stress. Hello Riona, I hope you're doing well. I know that I cannot predict the future, and that most things aren't under our control. I know that you, or we, have a hard time accepting that we cannot control everything that happens in our lives but we have to come to terms with that eventually. However, what you can control is your response to these uncontrollable situations, you still have the autonomy and the independence to create a path for yourself, even if life is unpredictable and constantly whirls inconveniences towards you.

I also pray that, no matter what, you will never hinder your growth, that you will never just be stuck in one place in the future because you've gotten used to a certain mindset that that's all you can be. No, please, for the love of God, never ever think that you cannot do anything other than the thing you are doing right now, especially if it's something you hate. You know, WE know, that our biggest nightmare is to be stuck at a 9-to-5 job that we do not like, in an environment we loathe, and be stressed as hell and still make low income. Please, do not waste your life away like that. After everything, all the efforts we've done, WE deserve a life that's worth living, not a life confined to a hell space. After everything we've done, it is up to US to make the life that we've dreamed for ourselves, the life that we WANT AND NEED for ourselves.

Overall, I pray that you will resolve certain issues in your life. You know, I hope that you've seen what it's like to have a dad that's reflected on his past and is now trying to be better for his family. Does our dad still constantly have severe bursts of rage at the most random moments? I hope not, I hope he changes, but right now, you know that I really don't think he will. I pray that you've seen what it's like to have a dad who understands. But if not, I pray that you've distanced yourself from him, still giving him adequate support, but distancing yourself enough to protect your sanity and your dignity. God bless you Riona, or should I say Ate Riona? Haha, you're already older than I am today. Just promise me that we will have the life we've always dreamed of.
