Also the use of realism which a lot of any Christany art was contained in Catacombs of typically for the dead to be close to God. As well the story represents the resurrection from death to life of how in the story it shows Johan going out to see to fish and in the next image showing that he was eaten by a sea monster but at the bottom of the painting showing him in paradise supposed like Heaven. Telling what will happen to all those who follow God and using the bright colors to show at the bottom his life in Heaven with God that he is happy.

These art and architecture compared to the last are just more breathtaking and use of different materials and elements to brighten the colors of the arts even more using gold and other Jewels to exaggerate and really show the coloring and even the use of shadowing making certain places darker with lighter elements. They were able to use shadowing to make even more details. Even looking at the plan drawings you can see how it shapes an octagon and at every corner to have support for pillars and at the center creating a dome which makes every part of the church with purpose and meaning in the architecture. With the interior most other churches were made out of some type of stone but in the San Vitale it was created with most of marble the pillars that help it stand are made with marble and the interior having its own design in each level being different from the last and creating the ideas of the use of arches. 
The art that hangs everywhere on the walls shows the different icons and how they were able to contain a lot of different art pieces together and still keep the realism of the paintings to connect it all together.  Also contains a lot of windows to let the light reflect on the paintings to be able to brighten the colors even more and showing the design of the realism on the paintings of the natural bodies. While using other types of art instead of painting but using the Mosaics to create even more layers of detail in the stories of icons of the Christianity of God and the beliefs. While also comparing it to the Islamic side which are completely different from the Byzantine style of art of the use of different shapes and materials used to build and the architecture used to show different beliefs in gods.

JAMES, SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA, Western France: 1078-1122 olavarreda922 https://padlet.com/olavarreda922/578vma9u3e04zv80/wish/2425216032 The church is located on the western side of France where it takes the inspiration from western Europe this church was one of the major pilgrimage cathedrals built and also contains the body of St. James. The creation of this church was to be more accessible to everyone during the time that they could walk around the church and admire the artwork of others who were in service and still pray to God. The layout of the cathedral has the shape of the cross meaning to represent Jesus and his nailing on the cross and being a symbol and at the entrance having two tall towers of during that period to show the power of God and containing a lot of windows at the front to be able to have light come in and shine the whole cathedral from one way of light.

The cathedral contained no doors which meant that anyone could enter anytime due that people would travel far distances to be able to see the cathedral and also had the side entrance where people could enter to see the interior but like said prior not getting in the way of service that was going on during the time. The front contains a double door with arches overlapping each other to make the height higher and the support of the pillars and the arches. As well the high ceilings with a ribbed vault and the cross like pillars to support and reach to the top. Also the nave arches which are covered by the barrel vaults and the halfbarrel vaults which support the building give an outward thrust for the high nave vaults. 


]]> 2022-12-19 21:35:45 UTC https://padlet.com/olavarreda922/578vma9u3e04zv80/wish/2425216032 CHARTRES CATHEDRAL, France: 1145-1194 olavarreda922 https://padlet.com/olavarreda922/578vma9u3e04zv80/wish/2425217103 This was the start of a new era, the start of the Gothic Cathedrals, this was the church of Saint-Denis where he would make a new type of architecture where they wanted to have slender pillars instead of the massive Romanesque were used and try something new.  They wanted to make a bigger church in the fight for the competitive power of God and would issue a larger church with taller interiors and stained glass. In which they started a construct in the mid 1200 century to build one of the greatest gothic cathedrals to even be created. The creation of the west façade of the two towers next on another each having its own design different from one another while the one on the left contains high detail of each layer to be pointed out in its own way and more broad. Compared to the one on the right which is more simplified, it doesn't have as much detail on the one on the left but still looks stunning to one another. As well in the center having a rose window and the glass panes underneath and with a triple door entrance which was mostly used for important ceremonies. With the inner side of the arches over the triple doors are the life of Jesus  and the beautiful use of sculpture to have the natural and realism of Jesus and tell such a story with only 3 arches and pillars. As well as the royal portals of the pillars which are representation of the Kings and Queens entrance and the sculpture of the art of the higher power during that time. However the interior is even more Beautiful with the use of Glass panes to bring art into light with the use of color to brighten up the cathedral to give it more life and still be able to share the life of God and Christianity. Hanging over the rib vaults to give another beautiful use of architecture and compared to this of early Christian architecture a lot has changed in the style used and the type of material used for art and how light became a big use of the modern art to show Christianity with light and the symbolism.
