         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;<br><strong>Hypothalamus <br></strong>Your hypothalamus<strong>&nbsp; </strong><br>controls your stress hormones.When your brain senses a stressful situation it sends signals to your Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) which controls your 'fight or flight' responses. <br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Pituitary Gland <br></strong>The Pituitary Gland is how the Hypothalamus communicates with the body, it triggers the Pituitary Gland to secrete adrenocorticotropic. (ACTH), From WebMD.<br><br><strong>Adrenal Gland <br></strong>When The Pituitary Gland secrets ACTH, it stimulates the Adrenal Gland to produce another hormone, Corticosteroid, which helps maintain sugar levels in the blood stream. When the blood has a proper amount of sugar in it helps cope with prolonged stress.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Take a  breath! <br></strong>Most importantly it is crucial to take deep breaths . Even tough it may sound simple, taking deep breaths is a way to calm your parasympathetic nervous system, that party of your body that cams you down. Supplying this part of the body with enough oxygen will slow your heart rate, decreases blood pressure, breathing slows, and your digestive track speeds up. All of these responses to your PSNS cause milder emotional reactions- thus calming you and reducing your stress. <br><br><strong>Get enough sleep<br></strong>Without sleep our body wouldn't be able to function properly. Many physical factors are involved in your mental heath (in this case stress). Every night when you fall asleep your brain forms new neurological "pathways" to help you better remember previously learned information. This may not sound important to stress related issues but, if you are studying really hard and don't get enough sleep your brain will not be able to remember what you have been studying- thus making you more stressed. Another reason why getting enough sleep is vital to a stress free life is because when you sleep, your brain I making important checks and balances on your body to hero you perform better. Studies also show that sleep deficiency alters activity in some parts of the brain. If you're sleep deficient, you may have trouble making decisions, solving problems, and controlling your emotions. If your ability to solve problems and make decisions is decreased you will inevitably be more stressed. <br><br><strong>Do your Best! <br></strong>In life, all we can do is try our best. Some outcomes we are not able to control and that is ok. Just accept that fact that you have done your best and that is enough! </div>]]></description>

         <title>Study Tips to Reduce Stress </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It is very important to make sure you give yourself plenty of time to study effectively. If you wait until the last minute before a big test to study the information you will not know it as well as you would have if you would have spaced out your work. This is called the <strong>spacing effect.</strong> Shana K. Carpenter from Iowa State University, states in her research about that spacing effect that, "students retained a greater number of vocabulary definitions when a given term and definition were repeated approximately every 5 minutes, rather than when the same term and definition were repeated consecutively. The learning advantage for information that is repeated in a “spaced” fashion is commonly referred to as the <em>spacing effect</em>." If you feel better prepared for a test than you will be less stressed!&nbsp;Ebbinghuas is famous for his discovery of the spacing effect. in 1885 he conducted an experiment proving why studying overtime is more beneficial. </div>]]></description>
