The text structure that the author uses to organize their ideas is description. One piece of text evidence that supports this idea is, according to the text, “Characterized by its thousands of pillars, columns, windows, and towering red sandstone cliffs.” This shows that the author is using description in their writing because the author is describing and giving ideas of how the canyon looks. The text also states, “Within these amphitheaters, nature has shaped colorful rock into a spectacular array of spires, fins, and pinnacles known as "hoodoos." This shows that the author is describing the rocks with as much description as they could, and these descriptions could appeal to some readers, and they may go to see these sights.

To support my claim in the text it says “ Bruce canyons national park has been carved over millions of years of erosion by wind. Another detail is “heart of Utah’s high desert, and features a fairyland of red rock amphitheaters sculpted into fantastic shapes.

The author uses description to organize their ideas. I know this because the author describes the appearance of the “The Stone Garden” For example in the text it says “In contrast to the canyon’s arid landscape of red and golden tan rock formations, the canyon’s rim features a verdant alpine forest of ponderosa pines and Douglas fir.” This detail shows how the Stone Garden looks like. In the detail it says “arid landscape of red and golden tan rock formations” This shows that The Stone Garden is dry and the rocks are red, golden and tan. In addition, the author uses descriptive details to explain how The Stone City looks like.

In the text it states,”Within these amphitheaters, nature has shaped colorful rock into a spectacular array of spires, fins, and pinnacles known as hoodoos.” This means that the author is describing what nature has done. This shows the text structure is description because it’s giving in depth details about what it is. According to the text it states,”In contrast to the canyon’s arid landscape of red and golden tan rock formations, the canyon’s rim features a verdant alpine forest of ponderosa pines and Douglas fir.” This means that the canyon is unique and different because of nature. This shows that the text structure is description because it uses the word “red and golden tan” to have the reader vividly imagine what the landscape looks like.
