1. I think other countries helped Bangladesh is because that, their country is not only full of natural disaster, but also very poor and full of slums. If this kind of country faces crisis, it will lead to their economics' collapse.(Which while their economic system is already in a harmful condition)
They don't have excellent medical services to face the problem, also they faced shortage of food whenever natural disaster occurs.
A lot of people died from diseases and drowned, if other country still won't help, this place will turn into hell.
With not only lives killed but also tons of property destroyed, land in a tattered condition.
So to support the country, other places helped and stopped this place from destruction.
2. I believe that farmer got free seeds after the flood is that, just like what I've mentioned in the last question, their country is in a severe status. What they need is not money, what's the most important is actually those which were more important than money, those that money couldn't buy. Such as food, crops, seeds, fresh water. The supplies were torn down or flushed away by the dirty flash flood.
Their crops were all destroyed by the flood. So clearly, they don't have any supplies to recover their broken place.
So if they still cannot have seeds for free, their country would lose the opportunity to reverse.
3. Since embankment and flood warning is not an easy job to do, and it costs more or less bunches of dollars. Especially embankment, which costs an arm and a leg. Hard engineering is the safest way to avoid flooding, however it's always the most expensive way. So if they chose the soft engineering, which costs not as much, they can prevent, but cannot avoid serious flash floods.
Cautions and warning is always useless. Flash floods were unpredictable, so different cautions are mostly meaningless.
It's also hard to react towards sudden floods, which were caused by poor precaution. Since Bangladesh is a country with shortage of money, they won't have the way to build large and safe embankment.
4. One response of the country is hard engineering, which is called embankment. But, their country, as I've mentioned is very poor, so their embankment might be unstable, since embankments costs.
5. One of the other response is soft engineering, which is flood warning system .As I've mentioned in the above answers, the flood warning system is quite useless and didn't gave the country much benefits and the flood still occurs, the place was still damaged. However, on the other hand, it's quite cheap.
6. Well, the flood of Bangladesh is of course more severe than the flood of Boscastle. The country, Bangladesh is very poor, so they don't have much support after the damaged. So you can say, that the place is actually "destroyed", like the doomsday.
Boscastle is not as poor as their country, so they can still manage to "clean up" after the destruction.

1. Either they wanted to make a good impression on their alliance or they were part of an international organization that help people during floods.
2. They needed to replant the fields that were destroyed during the flood and plants soak up water, and that meant they would have at least some protection for the next flood.
3. I don't mean to be racist or anything, but Bangledesh is not the really on the richest country on the list. And all the previous progress must have been washed away in the flood, meaning that they would need to restart. Thats not an easy job to do.
4. An example of hard enginneering is a dam. Not the swear word, the giant wall that blocks water. example of a dam? Capilano dam, Vancouver.
5. An example of soft enginneering includes planting more and other plants to soak up the excess water when it rains. Not preventing a flood, but making the next one les dangerous and less costly. Also, that is one of the methods that they used.
Extended task: these are my reasons why I think that the flood in Bangdalesh was worse than the flood in Boscastle.
a) The flood in Bangdalesh was in a main area. Making it more of a threat than the Boscastle flood.
b) There wasn't too much done to prevent floods, just to slow them or decrease the costliness of the flood.

I think farmers got free seeds after the flood is because the floods destroyed their things so they will have to continue to struggle against poverty so farmers is very poor too and they don't have money to buy seeds.
3. I think that it will be hard for Bangladesh to maintain the flood warnings systems and embankments because after the floods ,they would have continue to struggle against economic problems and with no money to prepare for the next flood. Also to prepare for it.
4. An example of a hard engineering is a dam.
5.An example of a soft engineering is planting trees.

CHALLENGE:
I think that this flood is worse than the flood of Boscastle because Bangladesh at first is much more poorer than Boscastle so it is more unlikely to prepare for the floods. Also the people catch disease because there is not enough food for them so they decreased resistance.

They did not have a lot of money to build, they cost a lot of money to build dams and embankments.
4. The embankments -raising the banks of a river means that it can hold more water.
5.

1. The other countries helped Bangladesh because Bangladesh is poor and what they needed to survive is already destroyed. They need food and fresh water to survive and doctors to cure the diseases.

2. I think the farmer got free seeds after the flood because they rely on crops and all their crops were washed away so they need some new seeds to plant food on their own instead of eating from the other countries.

3. I think it will be hard for Bangladesh to maintain the lood warning systems and embankments because they don't have much money to build the embankments or waning systems and they don't know it will flood. They always think of how to get the foods or fresh water and don't have time to care about flooding.

4. Is this question asking about the examples?
The examples of hard engineering is dams and embankments. They can stop the floods flooding the flooding zone.

5. The examples of soft engineering is warnings and flood plain zoning. The warnings is building a sign saying this area will flood so the people won't get near this area(If they follow the instruction). Floodplain zoning is building the buildings away from the floodplain so they won't get flooded and the buildings that needed flood near the floodplain(Or the useless buildings).

Challenge: I think the flood in Bangladesh is much worse than the flood in Bascastle. Although the flood in Bascastle last longer and caused more damage, the flood in Bangladesh is more worse. The flood in Bangladesh destroyed the crops in Bangladesh and the water aren't fresh anymore. The flood almost killed the entire country because the flood flooded the the things people needed to stay in Bangladesh. The flood in Bascastle only destroyed buildings which could be build again.

1I think that the other countries help Bangladesh is becaese that their country are to poor, and weak, they don't have the ability to protect itself from disaster.like when there a flood coming because of their country are to poor to build har engineering or soft engineering which means that they don't really have a way to stop the flood damange there land.

2.I think the reason that the farmer got free seed after floods were because the wheat and other crops all got broke by the flood and the farmer need to replant them again and will cost alot and the farmer need help from the others. And also that the soil after flood will be a nice to grow crops which is a chance to grow alot of them.

3.As you know that Bangladesh is a poor count because of that they don't really got many money to build the hard enginering or the soft engineering which most of them will cost alot.

4.Something like a Dam that change the river is a hard engineering

5.Something like a sign that warning the people around that there flood coming is a soft engineering because it working with the river instead of just change the river.

Challenge:
I think that happen were because that first the medical care and the sanitation at Bangladesh were worse then Boscastle.
also that Bangladesh is poorer then Boscastle which don't really have much to defeat the flood when it come.

Third the resource in this country is not good too so it is really hard for them to improve warning system .
4, A example for a hard engineer is a dams it is a huge wall across the river.
5,A example for a soft engineer is a preparing for floods it is a sign in the river.

1.In the flood of Bangladesh, not only that properties and obstacle are awfully destructed , but anomalous diseases penetrated along through the unfortunate group of people.Bangladesh is a country relatively un- advanced and have great abatement on food and supplies every day. They have to alleviate through the help of others. unfortunately, some may have perish through those natural diseases caused by the floods, having a rather vacuous supply and scarce properties. To some extent, helping the country to stop or at least ameliorate the event , one, is that this may have hope to stop the disease from penetrating again along the world, second, is to consolidate the position as they are in the adverse side to both geographically and economically。The country around could not be apathetic as due to the anarchy situation, and if so, they would both stand on a unpleasant side in a political way, causing greater antipathy and effect in future issues.
2.As I have mentioned previously, Bangladesh has a severe position through every possible way in the world. More to that, during the appearance of flood, obstacles are harshly damaged and destructed, not only buildings and house people reside in, but agricultures , that is perhaps one of the most essential resource for the country are now subsided and destroyed. This devastation effected and threatened the people around, as to various of them see this as the only supplies to keep them alive and to subsist along the way. Therefore, giving the farmers free seeds and crops could help them through this tough and chaotic period, at least palliate their loss to the lowest as possible.
3.This is also a issue dealing with both geographic and economic turmoil. To start, as I have mentioned and declared previously, Bangladesh is a country in great disadvantage on every aspect(geographically and economically.)They don't have enough money to build up a strong and stout system or embankment. As to subsist is already a problem that they have to concern and antagonize on.As also, they have a fairly un-adequate weather. Heavy rainfalls are a characteristic in the country(cited from weather online.co.uk ), which obviously have great possibilities of causing a flood. As such, the flood would damage the weak and archaic(as perhaps built long before)embankments and system, would than also damage numerous properties and more to the point, a sharp in economy, having even less faculty to build a embankment to stop the flood next time, as dropping mow into a vicious cycle.
4.As mentioned previously, the embankment is a hard engineering as it includes making and building supplies upon to decrease the velocity of the river flow.
5.The soft engineering are as well previously mentioned, is the flood warning system, as this is not making movements to anything but just to make this appreciable and conspicuous to see.
_6.Extension-:There will be several reason to this question asked.First, the place dominant has a fairly different position when compared. Boscastle is a city in the United Kingdom, the flood happens at a Cornish village of Boscastle , and haves a relatively considerable geographic location as it is only a "city(or say "village") .Which could be saved and helped along by others in this countries relatively quickly. But Bangladesh is a Country, well although not damaged all at one, but having a heavy rainfall all around the place.More to the point, the economy is different, very different.I will aggrandize the city to the country of the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom has the world's 5th largest GDP and has a poverty rate of only (in 2020)10.8%,(according to www.ifs.org.uk), in comparison, Although in a short time I can't find a fairly reliable resource of specific number, but according to www.bbc.co.uk, although the poverty rate has alleviated along these years, but have also poverty would still be widespread during a flood or other natural disasters. The economy would fully be worse on the side in Bangladesh as in Boscastle(stated upon with full resource). As so, the devastation cause of the flood would effect more on the side of the Bangladesh.

1.I believe that other countries helped Bangladesh is because their countries is not organised and the economy of this country is very falling behind. This country don't have good enough medical cares not many good doctors. The other country thought they are very poor and falling apart s they decided to help their country to survive.
2.I think that they encourage farmers to keep on planting foods by themselves so they could have food very soon after the flood ended. The flooding also produces a big amount of water so they soil will be very suitable to grow crops.

3.This country is not a wealthy country their government can't offer money for the embankments and the dams because these structures cost a huge amounts of money and maybe it is not suitable to construct near that place due to the land they have there.

4.So basically the two most significant hard engineering is the dams and the embankments. But these construction cost a lot of money and time but these buildings can work right way after they been built.

5.The soft engineering can be planting trees near the river so it can consolidate the soil near the river then the river can not wash away the soil and the number of flooding will decrease.

Their economy, food supply, doctors and so on are not so great. The other countries sort of took pity on them. As you can see on many sources that Bangladesh is not very wealthy, all of their population is sick and hungry. Even before the flood they were in lack of food! But after the flood? they couldn't farm very well nor get food. So other countries decided to help, they weren't just going to sit there and watch people die.

2. After the flood the farmers got seeds because i they wouldn't have seeds after the flood! Why? because it was probably all washed away from the flood so they needed seeds to survive (food).

3.It will be hard because the flooding was getting worse and they were in lack of men and equipment.

4. Building embankments

5. Warnings and planting trees

6. because they weren't ready for the flood and the medical care there was not so great.

1. Others countries helped Bangladesh after the flood because that the country was both poor and full of disasters. Millions of people became homeless since no strong materials can be afforded. There was a lack of resources, as the country was not that wealthy. People are not living prosperously, but hard to even survive. They will need asistance, or the country can't develop as natrual disasters kept harming the country, and could be even worse.
2. The farms needed to be reformed, as there was already not much food. The soil became rich since water intercepts into the soil on the other hand.??????
3. It would be very hard for the country to afford flood warning systems and embankments, since they were poor enough, as resources and money can't be collected, especially after the flood. They need to rebuild houses, farms, gather food and water for survival needs first.
4. Hard engineering- repair embankments, built up flood warning systems
5. Soft engineering- Planting trees, seeds gave out to farmers.
6. The flooding at Bangladesh was much worse than the flooding at Boscastle was mainly because the size. It only covers the little town at Boscastle, but drowned a large area at Bangladesh. Secondly, Bangladesh has worse medical and rescue resourses than Boscastle. They built houses using poor materials since they can't afford better ones, as many people became homeless.

1. because Bengladesh itself is a developing/ underdeveloped country where resources (healthcare, education, architecture, social service) are scarce. this means that the population of those who underwent the flood will suffer from this disadvantage of this country..the course of bangladesh population will be in chaos. therefore countries are reinforcing Bangladesh with their resources.
2. because um this flood will irrigate the farmlands is mass areas, which means that afdter the flood the amount of vegetation in farmlands will substantially increase. so farmers could receive more seeds, due to more crops on farmlands.??????
3. well because this country (objectively) does not own a big market and stuff.. so the likely explanation is that they simply could not afford these architectural services.
4. ? well of course according to the aforementioned two engineerings the embankments are hard engineering because it reduced the unstable flow of river currents.
5. and so the soft engineering is flood warning systems, for that it did not actually dominate the movements of the river..

1.because they don't have the ability to repair their country from the natural disaster.
2. because the farmer It took time to replant crops and earn money, and in the meantime they needed help, or they would starve.
3. because they don't have enough money to build a A good flood control system.
4.Groynes: Low walls constructed at right angles to retain sediments that might otherwise be removed due to longshore drift. These structures absorb or reduce the energy of the waves and cause materials to be deposited on the updrift side of the groyne facing the longshore drift.
5.Soft Shoreline Engineering (SSE) uses the strategic placement of organic materials such as vegetation, stones, sand, debris, and other structural materials to reduce erosion, enhance shoreline aesthetic, soften the land-water interface, and lower costs of ecological restoration.
challenge.

Flood warning system
Challenge: Why do you think the impacts in Bangladesh were so much worse than in Boscastle? Bangladesh = LIC / UK = HIC – UK can afford to protect against floods and evacuate people by helicopter.
