We have historically run full-day and half-day writing retreats to give colleagues the space and time to get started; I have also introduced 1-hour micro-clinics entitled ‘Let’s Talk About Fellowship’. These sessions are limited to 1 hour and are intended to give an intensive burst of inspiration to give colleagues the confidence to write reflectively against the UKPSF; feedback has been great. Staff are invited for 1:1 and a chat over coffee (my L&T / Fellowship cafe); giving time to talk and effectively interview them 1:1 encourages reflection. I get them to record the conversation on their phones so they can go home and type up what they say! Without knowing they verbally write their submissions. Also provides an opportunity to encourage reflection and to instil confidence which enhances their self-efficacy.
