Awesome job on your presentation Yumi! I loved all the descriptive words you used throughout your presentation, especially in the first step, because it really helps me see what you experience was like.

I loved looking at all the pictures you included in your presentation. It helped me to see what your game steps were like and it added a great element to the overall view.

I think you could have talked a little bit slowly at times, since I felt you were rushing and it was a little hard to understand you at times.

-Julie

The photos you shared were so beautiful. Your reflections were meaningful especially when you said "I feel united with the sky" and "I feel like one with nature". One suggestion I have for you is to try not to read directly off the TV. I was able to relate to you on your first step: paying attention to your breath but it being difficult in the cold/rain. Overall great job!

Peyton

Your creative and empathetic reflection on each step (like your conversation with the sky and the comic about the heron family) helped me to connect with your experience too.

Your presentation clearly showcased your project. The descriptive explanations of your implementation helped me connect to your experience as well. I like the contrast in colours which reflect the elements included in each step (black and white for Steps 1 and 3, bright colours for Steps 2, 4 and 5). The conclusion connected the steps together and summarized your experience in a clear manner. I think you could include some points about what you learned on the slide itself because it was a great summary and a nice way to end the presentation.

Grace Lee

You also made a lot of eye contact with the audience. I also liked how creative you are, especially in the first step with the shadow puppets. It was so entertaining to see all the different shadow puppets you made! Btw, I also relate to not being able to see anything in the rain, as I have also had glasses my whole life :) One tiny suggestion I have for you is to add a conclusion slide or a some sort of conclusion because I felt your presentation ended kind of abruptly.

I really liked the layout/organization of your slides, with images, videos, and some text. Next time, I would suggest focusing your speaking more on reflection, rather then every step/aspect of what you did for the proposition (especially with the time restriction). Overall, you did a really great job, and I really like all the personal aspects you included both in personal growth + art forms.

- Katelyn

Yumi - You spoke really clearly and it was easy to follow your presentation. I also like how whenever you refer to your slides you use hand gestures. I really liked your letter to the sky, it felt really personal and i could tell how important it was to you.

Addi - I liked your story about transportation and how you talked about your experience growing up in a small town vs in vancouver (fast paced), particularly how reflection isn't very normalized, and how it should be

Cherine - You made good eye contact with the audience, and not just reading straight off your slides. Your water filtration system idea was really creative and I liked your watercolour painting.

Parmpreet: Very clearly spoken and good use of hand gestures throughout the presentation.

Your careful and thoughtful implementation of each step shows through your presentation. Each part of your documentation and your explanations fully and effectively captured the whole experience, which made it more immersive for audience as well. I also like how you briefly explained each step during the overview (table of contents). One suggestion (in terms of presenting) is to make more eye contact with the audience. But your personal reflections still made it easy for me to connect to your project. Great presentation!

Grace Lee

It's evident that you put a lot of work into this game swap, and your insights reflected that as well. One suggestion is to not read from your script so much, as the presentation ended up being sort of long (but since you went in-depth with your reflections, I can see how the script helps with guidance). However, I think she detailed things too much as her presentation went a bit over the time allotted. I think she could’ve improved by practicing more since she paused a few times. You can tell she spent a lot of time on her project!

-Yvonne

I like how you noticed your bias for the first step, that shows reflection before even starting the first step, which is awesome. I also apprciate how you said that you watched the tree grow, but it watched you grow as well. This illustrates your relationship with the tree and a connection to the living world. Your last step was also relatable, because I also kept waiting for rain for some of the steps (and it could rain at the most inconvenient times). Your optimism about the lack of rain and balance was insightful. Overall, you mainatained a good volume and level of eyecontact, and didn't sound scripted. Great work! - Luna

I noticed a theme of appreciation (for the rain, your high school, friendship, etc.), which was interesting because I also learned to appreciate more things in my life through the game swap. One suggestion would be to look towards the audience a little more. It’s great that she reflected with her past memories, especially since she could appreciate her high school experience. I appreciate the personal connections as well such as when you were walking in the dark. The different parts of your documentation (such as including photos of the flower with your poem) made the presentation immersive as I could imagine what the experience might have been like. You could add a short text to explain your reflection on some of the slides.

I like that Taka’s presentation focused on showing his documentation; it’s simple but neat and clear! It’s interesting that Taka chose to do a video, but I think that presenting it in person would’ve be more engaging; especially since it felt like he was just reading off a script without any enthusiasm. I like his drawings. They were colourful and interesting! Overall, great job!

-Yvonne

You used a creative form to present your project. The documentation methods you chose effectively capture the experience of implementing the steps, such as including photos to show the landscape that you saw. Perhaps including a short text about the prompts on the slides could help the audience follow along visually. But you explained the steps well in your video recording.

Grace Lee

Yumi

Your reflection on the sky in step 2 and 3 was very well articulated. I loved what you said about being part of something greater than yourself!

The use of scans to show your documentation also made the presentation feel very authentic and personal.

There were some times when it was hard to hear you, so in future it'd be good to project your voice a little louder when presenting :)

Addie

I loved your slides! They felt interactive and resembled a scrapbook, which really made it feel like we were getting an inside peek at your personal journal!

It'd be awesome to hear your voice a little more! I could tell everything you said was honest, but at times it was hard to hear

Your 9-3 reflection was really compelling. I enjoyed your points about the pace in which we live, and your following question about whether or not the fast pace is good for us. Overall, awesome job!

Cherine

The water filtration system was so cool. I like how you connected it to your process of freeing yourself from old relationships.

You reflected on each step so well and connected them back to your experiences. I felt like I learned a lot about treating myself better from your reflections :)

Mya

I like how you broke down your slides into key points so that the audience could decipher what was most compelling to you during your reflection

Amoeba and Beaches are, to me, distinct songs with very distinct feelings. I would have loved to hear more elaboration on what the songs in your playlist meant to you, what feelings they evoke, etc.

You had good eye contact and projection while presenting! I couldn't tell if you were even reading any script, and that made the presentation feel more organized. Really good work!

Christina

I love the detailed videos you included throughout the presentation, it gave real insight into what you were doing during your reflections!

Some of the slides were focussed on for a little bit of a long time, which I think could have been helped by having a more organized/simple script

I could tell you were really thorough with each step throughout the whole reflection process! The time you put into the project is evident! Very good job!

Tiffany

Your 24-2 poem was very sweet and connected well to nature, despite you not being able to carry out the step the way you wanted to. So good job adapting!

At times your voice was a little quiet and I noticed you looking at your script, so I think better projection and eye contact would help!

Your slides were very well organized and it helped your presentation run very smoothly. Awesome work and reflection!

Kelly

I really liked when you said "I watched the tree grow, and the tree watched me grow" during your step 3 reflection. It was a very simple way to express your relationship with the tree, but it was very compelling and showed that you didn't just reflect on the current moment, but on your whole life.

Your voice was really clear and when it comes to presenting, you do a really good job of making it feel personal and not like you're talking at us, but talking with us. Good job! (And sorry you got sick :( but you did really well!)

Katrina

I like how in your first step, you went beyond reflecting on just yourself. You connected your experience with nature with society/the world and I think it shows a deeper reflection, so that was awesome to see :)

Your letter-writing reflections were silly/playful, but also brought in great perspective about pollution and the way humans treat the environment. I really enjoyed the Game 4: 36-2 slide, it took some of the seriousness away from reflection and that was very freeing. Very well done!

Trevor

Awesome projection! Throughout the semester you have had great volume and cadence when presenting, so that stood out to me!

Some of your slides lacked information and seemed a little empty looking, which made the presentation a little harder to follow, but you still got your main points across :)

The drawings you did for you "Temperature of Light" slide were really interesting! You illustrated your emotions well, and the text at the bottom of the slide also helped clarify the specific feelings you were trying to get across! Good job!

Monica

I love the doodles you did on the pictures in your slides! It helped highlight the details of nature that stood out to you, which I found helpful as an audience member because it gave me some insight into your perspective throughout the reflection without you having to verbally say it.

The pacing was a little slow at times, which was tough because there were time constraints on the presentations, but it didn't take anything away from the presentation

You made SFU look awesome, so really good work on this project!

Angelica

Thank you for bringing in your painting and physically showing us part of your documentation! I was happy to hear your willingness to really ground yourself in the reflection :)

Great presentation skills! You referred to the slides well, made eye contact, and it seemed like you didn't depend on your script too hard, which made the presentation go smoothly! You did an amazing job!

Sophia

Your blue jay drawing was beautiful! I can see the skill, art, and effort you put into that reflective step! And same goes for your seed drawing! I loved how you showed all the different connections a seed could have!

You have a very soft voice, so it was a little hard to hear at times. Sometimes looking down at the script prevents you from projecting the sound outwards, so avoiding that could help in future presentations!

Taka

Good video and format, it was easy to hear you and the pacing was good!

It was at times hard to pay attention to watching the video when you were on the side, moving around during the video. But give your work and effort the time it deserves! You did your reflection well and documented it in very interesting/engaging ways, so good effort on the project!

Luna

Good job bringing it other sources, like yoga, into your reflection! I really loved the way you presented that slide, with the physical journal and scrapbooking. It made the reflection feel very authentic.

I was hearing that you did a lot of the reflection alongside others, such as your godchildren, nieces, nephews, which is awesome to do with young people! But I also think that when you reflect alone it can reveal a lot since your attention won't get swept up by other people/things, so just keep that in mind for future! Overall, you did really well and I really loved your presentation!

Tony

Good projection! I could hear you very well throughout the presentation

Some of the slides were really simple, I would have loved to hear more in depth reviews of your reflection, but given the time constraints you did a really good job!

Yumi:

I liked this presentation because of the nice powerpoint design and how confident you are in front of the class. A small suggestion would be to look towards the class a little more but overall, you did really well and you presented some great points to the class. Nice work Yumi!

Addi:

Good job on presenting today, your powerpoint looked really well done and the work you presented really demonstrated how hard you worked on your reflections. If anything could be changed, I would say maybe speak a little louder. But, aside from that, this was a brilliant presentation :)

Cherine:

This was a beautiful presentation, you discussed many personal things that I really related to. You made amazing points and you really went above and beyond. Maybe for next time you can speak a little louder, but overall, nice visuals and fantastic work!

Mya:

You reflected on some great things and demonstrated it really well to the class. You were also really confident when presenting and had great energy. A small suggestion would be to make more eye contact with the class when speaking. But overall, you did a nice job and it was a pleasure to hear your experience.

Jessica:

I liked your presentation because you had a lot of clear and strong descriptions in it. The presentation was done smoothly and was not rushed. One thing I would change is maybe speak a little bit louder. However, you did amazing and definitely made a presentation to be proud of :)

Parmpreet:

You were really confident and spoke clearly to engage the whole class. Also, the visuals on your powerpoint were really neat and organized. It was nice to hear about an example of your glasses and what that was like. If anything could be changed, I would say maybe talk a little slower. But overall, nice job up there!

Christina:

I really liked the format of your presentation because you organized your work in such a clear way that made it really easy for us as a class to understand. Something small that I would change is maybe taking less pauses when speaking. Aside from this, it was interesting to hear you talk about your childhood memories and emotions.

Mikaela:

Mikaela! This was a great presentation, you did really well when sharing with the class. I liked your poem and how you made everything rhyme together. If anything could be changed, I would say try to look around to the class a little bit more. All in all, amazing work today and I am glad I could hear about your experiences.

Tiffany:

Your presentation slides were really neat and provided the class with in-depth details of your reflections and experiences. I liked the time lapse you made and how it made you feel. Something minor I would suggest is to speak a little louder and look towards the TV less. Overall, it was a really good presentation and you did so well :)

Kelly:

Kelly! You were really well-spoken during this presentation and had some amazing points you brought up. One specific thing that stood out to me was you talking about your appreciation of the rain because of how relatable it felt. If any small thing could be changed, I would say try to read less off of the screen. All in all, this was a phenomenal presentation and your hard work stood out.

Katrina:

Nice presentation Katrina! You did a good summary of your experiences and made some great points about society and nature. A minor suggestion would be to take less pauses when speaking in front of the class. Moreover, it was cool to hear things that you have learned from each game :)

Trevor:

You had a really clear voice when presenting and were very confident. There was lots of eye contact made with the class. A small suggestion I would provide you with is to maybe speak a little slower at certain points near the end. Furthermore, this presentation was great! Keep it up.

Monica:

The organization of your presentation was beautiful and looked really well thought out. Alongside this, you provided the class with some great pictures and visuals. One really small thing that I would change is to speak up a little louder when you are up there. Aside from this though, it was enjoyable to hear your reflections about flowers and its connection to your childhood.

Angelica:

You did a really good job at presenting. Everything you discussed was clear and concise and your summary was incredibly interesting! I enjoyed hearing you talk about things such as anxiousness because I found it to be really relatable in different ways. Overall, great job on a fantastic presentation and paintings. You crushed it today :)

Sophia:

Sophia! Something that really stood out to me in this presentation was your drawings and how beautiful they were. You had some really great reflections that you showed the class and I could tell you worked really hard. A small suggestion would be to make more eye contact with the class. Aside from this, you did such a good job and I’m glad I got to hear it :)

Taka:

I liked how you took a different approach to your presentation and made a video. It was really unique and not something that we have seen in the presentations so far. Your reflections were really deep such as the one about soil and plants. Nice drawings btw! One small suggestion I would provide you with is maybe looking more towards the camera than your script. Overall, nice work today.

Ellie:

Your presentation was fantastic. I loved your reflections and it was great to hear you speak so confidently in front of the class! I also really liked how you included a song choice in your slide while reflecting. One small suggestion I would have is to speak up a little louder. However, aside from that, you did an incredible job and it was lovely to hear you present :)

Luna:

Your hard work on this presentation did not go unnoticed! I loved the pictures you provided and your experience with your God-children. The poem along with the video of the orange leaves on the tree were so beautiful. A minor suggestion I would give you is to speak a little bit louder. Furthermore, I liked this presentation a lot and you did so well!

Tony:

Great work Tony! Your presentation was very organized and neat. You spoke very loudly and clearly too. One small suggestion I would give is to look towards the class more when presenting. However, aside from this, it was an engaging presentation and I enjoyed hearing you share with the class :)

----- Navroop Padda

Your connection between a toothbrush and the concept of time was interesting as well. It was a great example of how objects in our daily life can represent time.

Dear Yumi Kimuara,

I enjoyed the overall aesthetic of your slides and the clarity of your content. Your voice projection was clear and easily understandable, incorporating hand gestures that contribute to your overall body language. Throughout the presentation, I enjoyed the creativity in your reflections and game steps through your variety of visual aids through pictures and images. One suggestion would involve speaking in front or beside the laptop table area. While your speech projection was beautifully done, it may be hard for the rest of the audience to hear or see you due to positioning placements. I enjoyed your incorporation of various hand gestures that added to my level of engagement and focus, as an audience member. By standing in the middle or moving around more in front of the laptop table, then audience members on the far side of the class would be able to engage more with your presentation since it may be hard to see or hear you due to positioning placements. Your presentation was beautifully done and thoroughly enjoyed your presentation. Great job!

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Addi,

Firstly, I love your presentation aesthetic and the clarity in your slides. The accompaniment of your visual aids, through photos and reflections, support the communication of your presentation. In your step involving, “latte on a rainy day,” I heavily enjoyed how you dimmed the soundtrack of your slides so that it wouldn’t be too distracting for the audience. What would’ve been a distraction, was handled beautifully well and further utilized video aids as a engaging support to your presentation. Beautifully done! One suggestion would be either reading off your script from cue cards or memorizing your speech, as by using alternative modes of scripting cues can aid the voice projection and body language throughout the presentation. One way to increase voice project would be omitting script prompts, such as phones, since our voice tends to be quieter when looking down rather than towards the audience. Overall, I love the creativity of your presentation and the multiple visual aids that are incorporated into your presentation. I love the quick thinking and your ability to recognize the possible distractions, ie. The lights and noise, and seamlessly reduce distractions by refocusing the audience on your presentation by adjusting accordingly. Additionally, your reflection near the conclusion of your presentation demonstrated detailed preparation and incredible effort. Well done!

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Cherrie,

The vibrancy of colours. The simplicity of the presentation slides. The summarized introduction connecting the theme of the variety of steps to an overall theme added a focused point for the audience to relate to. I love how you connected each step to an overall theme and your reflections on each of the steps. I was beautifully done and showed thorough preparation. One thing I noticed was the use of “um’s” throughout the presentation. This is something I struggle with as well when presenting! One suggestion would be either speaking slower or including gaps of silence throughout the presentation as an alternative to the use of “um.” Often times I find that I use the word “um” to bridge gaps of silence when I speed through the speech or feel nervous. By slowing down speech pacing, or allowing silence gaps (when carefully placed throughout the presentation) can allow for emphasis or allow the audience time to fully immerse in your presentation. Overall, I love the use of your visual aids through pictures and words throughout the presentation. In addition, I love the reflections you incorporate throughout the presentation and your speech was beautifully done! Well done and keep up the good work! Good job.

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Mya Hamalock,

One thing I enjoyed was the clarity in your slide incorporation was demonstrated throughout the presentation. Your reflections throughout the steps were beautifully done and showed great detail. One thing I suggest would be adjusting your descriptions of certain steps. For example, in your first step, when describing the drawing, the description of the drawing as “awful” and the scanning as “bad” illustrated the drawing's reflection in not the most positive light despite it being wonderfully done. As an audience member, that reduces my focus on the presentation since I feed off of the energy of the presenter. Even if scanning didn’t turn out well, there are alternative ways to explain it in a more positive light that strives to engage the audience in the presentation. Overall, I appreciate the work and effort you have placed in the presentation. I enjoyed your documentation processes, and the art forms displayed. The documentations were lovely done and had many positive attributes. Good job.

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Jessica Bains,

Thank you so much for increasing the sizing of your visual aids. As an audience member who typically sits at the back of the class, the increased size of your photos allowed me to clearly see your visual aids incorporated in your presentation. Additionally, I love your quick thinking thinking when describing your steps despite the changing orders of the slides. One suggestion, whilst I do understand that due to time constraints that might not always be done, but going through the presentation at least once with the slides and script would prevent further similar situations from happening in the future. That being said, technical difficulties or alternative mix ups are a likely occurrence in presentations so the way your beautifully handled it was lovely! How you have handled the situation with ease and maintained a well-coordinated speech throughout the presentation re-engaged the audience in your presentation. Beautifully done!

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Parmpreet Jangal,

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE your presentation. Your voice projection was beautifully done and your use of body language was beautifully done. I love how clearly your presentation was done and the slides composition and layouts. This was done beautifully done and you did amazingly. I found that almost all of the audience was engaged due to your beautiful confidence and and body language engagement. By incorporating a various of hand gestures of your body language was beautifully done. And can I just say, your slides were SO CLEAR and incorporated a lovely amount of both content and clarity but highlighting the key points while incorporating the prompts discussed and reflections and documentation processes done. I love how you incorporated film through a video collage as a visual support to your presentation. I love how comfortable you engaged the audience and felt thoroughly engaged throughout the presentation. I could tell the amount of work, effort, preparation, detail and drive that went into your presentation. I love how you have incorporated the poem and immersed the audience in your documentation processes. Your presentation was incredibly done and I loved the detail demonstrated by your presentation and slides. I love it and it was beautifully done with confidence, body language, and audience engagement. One suggestion would be to try to include further audience engagement in your presentation. For example, the slide about your poem was beautifully done and described. One way to incorporate audience engagement in a short amount of time could be asking the audience to close their eyes or to be still as you read out your poem. That way, while your poem is still being explained, the audience is given a task that further engages their participation despite the time constraints. That being said, I understand these audience engagement activities may be difficult due to the time constraints, therefore I understand and believe your presentation did beautifully. By incorporating audience engagement activities, your ability of presentations will add another level making your already beautifully done presentation EVEN BETTER! Additionally, one other suggestion would be the use of cue cards as a scripting prompt rather than a phone, or omitting a scripting prompt in general! Often times, one thing that happens when using a phone as a scripting cue is that the phone can turn off and/or glitch throughout the presentation. By using cue cards, allows for a decrease of worry in the technical gaps that could arise using phones, while allowing more space for movement as your no longer confined to where your phone is propped upon. This will allow for further audience engagement, since 1) there’s more room to move around and incorporate body language and 2) the audience have an increased visual view of the body language and hand gestures incorporated. Since some of the body language that has been incorporated in the presentation could be blocked from the table where audience members at various points of the room may have difficulty viewing it. However, while cue cards could be a good alternative, a heavily encourage a script-free speech as that increases the professionalism of the presentation production. Overall, you did amazingly well that I could go on and on about the positive highlights I’ve noticed from your presentation. That being said, here’s a list of the things I’ve liked summarized: 1) body language, adding a variety of body gestures- not just pointing but actions as well, 2) voice projection, good loud voice level and clarity in speech, 3) audience engagement, through humour and comfortable stage presence, 4) stage presence, confidence and passion, 5) presentation layout, visual aids, artistic layout, and clear focus points/topics, 6) reflective explanation, providing visual connections further explaining your reflective processes and in depth explanation clearly explaining the reasoning behind your documentation and reflective notes. Well done!

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Sumin Christina Park,

In your presentation, I love how you used visual aids representing each of your steps, that creates a more engaging presentation that allows the audience to connect each of your steps with a visual representation. I enjoyed the presentation layout and composition as it was beautifully done with clear text and well-supported visuals. Another one I enjoyed was how you omitted the script in your presentation. Reducing your use of the script allows your voice projection to increase in clarity and voice level. Additionally, by maintaining the simplicity of your slides, it allows the audience to easily follow along with your presentation. One suggestion would be to use cue cards with bullet points as opposed to printing out a script document. At times I noticed that while you used the script as a back up, rarely using your script and instead speaking from the memory, when you did use the script sometimes there were gaps in your presentation while you look for where you are in your script document. By using cue cards or bullet points allows for easier access when looking back at your key points, reducing the time to skim through a script document. That being said, I love your reflections and your explanations throughout the presentation. By incorporating various forms of art documentation, you added a creative touch that further support not just the visual aid of your presentation but your audience’s engagement as well. Overall, nicely done in your slide formatting, overall layout, supporting visual aids, variety in art documentations, and reflection explanation. Despite the technical difficulties and harships when using canvas and any other presentation support involving technology, your calm nature throughout the presentation was nicely done and engaged the audience on your focus points. Well done!

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Mikaela,

The vibrancy in your presentation slides was captivating and bright. I love your voice projection and the clarity in your speech, which allowed the audience to clearly hear your findings and overall presentation. While I admired the effort and work put into your presentation, one suggestion would be adjusting the slide transitions in a subtler transition style. I found that at times the slides transitions took my focus away from the content, focusing more on the transition then the reflective processes. By using more subtle transitions as an alternative, the audience can focus more on the presentation’s context rather than the slide transitions in between. Overall lovely presentation full of vibrant colours, clarity in voice projection and effortful preparation. Good job!

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Tiffany,

The captivating and overall aesthetic of your presentation was nicely done. I loved the layout of your presentation of your slides and it added to the artistic nature of your presentation. By including multiple forms of visual aids and beautifully designed slides, I was drawn into the artistically beautiful layout and content of your presentation. One suggestion would be an increase in voice projection. I loved hearing your reflections and your content, however, at times there were certain words I missed. Due to the lovely reflective nature of your reflection process, I would’ve loved to hear more about your reflection but found it difficult at times since I tend to sit near the back of the audience and found difficulty hearing the presentation at times. That being said, I loved how beautifully your presentation and reflection were done. Especially your presentation! While I did get lost throughout the presentation or missed out on some of the reflective processes, the layout of your presentation allowed me to fully grasp your context and reflective processes without cluttering the presentation slide. Overall, well done. Good job.

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Kelly,

One thing I enjoyed was the clarity and simplicity of your slides while adding an artistic theme throughout the presentation layout. I loved how you clearly stated an overview of your presentation which allowed for a structured layout and clear introduction. The first few seconds of your introduction were confidently and spoken which was a lovely way to start the presentation. Oftentimes, the way a person opens a presentation is the leading factor in engaging the audience, and your presentation was a lovely example of how individuals should start their presentation. One thing I’d suggest would be incorporating more hand gestures and overall body language during your presentation, which would further increase the audience’s engagement in your presentation when listening to your reflection. Including more body language increases the audience’s focus through hand gestures and overall stage presence. That way, the initial focus of the audience, initiated by your captivating and clearly stated introduction, would be maintained throughout the presentation! Overall, well done! Your clear voice projection allowed for the audience to follow along with your reflection and your introduction focused the audience’s attention. The artistic layout of your slides further supported the audience’s engagement and focus. Good job.

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Katrina,

One thing I enjoyed was your clear projection and the effort that was incorporated throughout your presentation. Including visual aids that highlight the focus points support the audience member’s focus on your reflection process. I love how you emphasized the key points in your games with pictures and keywords. One thing I would suggest would be to incorporate more text to further support the audience’s comprehension of the reflective processes. For example, while I loved how you described the prompts and emphasized the use of visual aids to decrease clutter, I would’ve loved to read a phrase or keywords of the prompts so that we can what prompted your reflections. That being said, whilst I would’ve loved to see more text explaining the game prompts used, for personal comprehension and increased immersion in the game propositional prompts, I found the level of text for your reflective and documentation processes were nicely done as it emphasized your reflections. Well done! It was lovely to watch.

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Trevor,

The first thing I’ve noticed is your voice projection throughout the presentation. It demonstrated confidence and encapsulated the audience’s attention in your presentation. Additionally, I loved the speech and scripting of your presentation as it seemed authentic and beautifully spoken. Throughout your presentation, it felt like I was listening to a speaker rather than a person reading off of a written script which is something I enjoyed. The authenticity and engaging nature of your presentation incorporated a variety of body language movements that further added to your overall stage presence. In addition, I loved how you had a clear, minimalistic, and simple presentation format which highlighted the key parts that focused on the main points described. Your stage presence and slideshow layout were beautifully done. I found myself engaged throughout your presentation due to the excellent demonstrated body language through hand gestures and voice projection incorporating a variety of pacing. Additionally, I liked how you used cue cards for a scripting prompt as it took me a while to notice there was any scripting prompts due to how rarely you used it and the subtlety of your cue card usage. Nicely done! One thing I’d suggest would be picking a few main points you’d like to highlight for each step for the sake of time. During the presentation, there were times when the information could’ve been omitted for timing reasons. By focusing on a few main points, the audience could see a clear connection to the focus points and the information provided. Just to omit further tangents and stay on time without the cue of the teacher. Overall, I enjoyed the engaging nature of your presentation and overall stage presence.

Dear Monica,

One thing I enjoyed was the artistic layout of your presentation throughout the presentation. I enjoyed how minimalistic your presentation which allowed the audience to focus on the key points. By incorporating a variety of pictures as visual aids supported the audience’s comprehension of your reflective processes and documentation forms. In addition, I loved how you used hand gestures to draw the audience’s attention and focus to the specific pictures you referred to. One suggestion would be speech timing distribution, equally timing out each of the steps so that the last step explanation wouldn’t be as rushed while staying on time. That being said, your presentation was beautifully explored and supported with visual aids. Whether that’s through your pictures, videos or dance, it showed a lot of effort and detail that went into the presentation preparation. Beautifully done. Great job!

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Angelica,

One thing I loved was the art documentation that supported your presentation. I loved how you placed each prompt so that the audience could be fully immersed and fully understand your prompt. Included a couple of photos on each side emphasizing the documentation processes with clarity for the audience to be able to see, regardless of where they are in the class (ie. Students in the back could clearly see the presentation with ease). One thing I would encourage would be to incorporate more movement by standing beside or near the whiteboard, essentially a place that allows for movement instead of being behind a desk. Additionally, that would make it easier to show the entire class the art paintings you’ve created to increase audience engagement. While I do recognize that the art paintings were documented in your slides, letting the audience see the art paintings in real life through your props adds a level of interest and engagement. That being said, I loved your use of bringing the paintings as a prompt which added another level of depth to your presentation. Well done!

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Navroop Padda,

The clarity and simplicity of your presentation were something I thoroughly enjoyed throughout your presentation. Additionally including visual aids in photos added further audience focus and visual connections supporting the audience’s comprehension of your reflective processes. One thing I’d suggest would be to incorporate more body language movements, such as hand gestures. For example, when explaining your photos and their connection to your reflection, a hand gesture or body language movement could be pointing to the specific photos you are referencing. That being said, I loved your overall presentation’s slide layout and your reflective explanations. Very nicely done and full of effort.

Dear Sophia Bertani,

One thing I enjoyed was the structure of your presentation layout which briefly summarizes the processes you will be discussing. Throughout your presentation, through your scripting cues, art documentation processes, and slideshow layout, I enjoyed the level of effort and detail that went into the presentation. One suggestion would be to increase the level of voice projection throughout the presentation. Since I was sitting at the back, there were times I found it harder to hear certain contents of your presentation. Increasing the level of voice projection, would allow for further clarity in your presentation and audience engagement. Overall, I enjoyed listening and seeing the effort you’ve placed in your presentation project. Well done and lovely effort!

Sincerely Zoe Rarama

Dear Taka,

Thank you for the level of effort you have placed into your presentation. One thing I enjoyed was how you incorporated large-sizing visual aids that draw the audience’s focus on the pictures described. A suggestion would be providing a variety in speech pacing throughout the presentation. By incorporating a variety in speech pacing, speeding up voice speech throughout certain points and slowing down in alternative points, the audience’s level of engagement increases. This provides dynamicity in the speaking portion of the presentation. Overall, nice visual aids in your photos, drawings, and videos.

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Ellie,

The artistic and simplistic nature of your presentation was beautifully laid out. Well done. Additionally, your voice projection was clear and multiple body language gestures were incorporated. I liked the visual aids and the variety of documentation forms incorporated. This allows the audience to stay engaged due to the variety of documentation formats. This was nicely done and I loved seeing the different documentation processes throughout your presentation. This may be me picky, however, one thing I suggest would be re-centering your slideshow in the presentation. In certain slides, I personally felt a little uneasy as it seemed as if the slides were de-centered (ie. The photo on the left had a big gap while the text on the right was close to the border, and the boundary gaps were uneven). However, that could just be me. Overall, I enjoyed the nature of your presentation and the clarity of your voice projection. The incorporation of multiple body language gestures and the documentation forms presented added engagement to your presentation. Well done!

Dear Luna,

I love your introductory, your stage presence and your overall professionalism. In the first few seconds of your presentation there were multiple positive things I’ve noticed and liked. These are 1) professional impression, dressing in a simple and professional outfit that demonstrates a level of effort and thought required in the presentation- when dressing in a professional outfit as opposed to sweats, it gives off a well-rounded presentative look, 2) simplicity of the slides, incorporating visual aids in place of words and including the key highlighting focus points, avoided clutter and further engaged the focus of the audience, 3) artistic layout of presentation, aesthetically pleasing and beautifully designed, 4) voice projection, clear and loud, 5) introduction, confidence with a lovely start had encapsulates the audience’s engagement, 6) visual aids, incorporating a variety of visual aids such as videos and photos. I think your presentation was beautifully done. One thing I’d suggest, to further improve your already beautifully done presentation, would be through the increase in pacing. Throughout your presentation, I did notice the use of a different pacing, however, I encourage an increase in a variety of pacing to further the audience’s engagement. That being said, your speaking was beautifully done and I loved listening to your presentation. In addition, near the end of your presentation, I loved your reflection regarding the lessons learned. Your ending was beautifully done and I loved how you ended your presentation on a nice and happy note while acknowledging the weekend to come. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation, preparation, and overall effort put into this project. I deeply admire your stage presence and presenting skills. Thank you for sharing your presentation with the class. I found myself incredibly engaged throughout your presentation! Incredibly and beautifully done. Absolutely a well done job!

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Dear Tony,

The clear and loud voice projection of your presentation was nicely done. I enjoyed the incorporation of your use of sounds in your presentation. Near the beginning of your presentation’s when incorporating audio in your presentation, I loved how you would stop your speech to transition the audience’s focus to the sounds and then resumed your speech after the stopping the sound track. That was beautifully done and I appreciated how you included an audio recording of sound in your presentation in a non-distracting and engaging way. One thing I’d suggest would be the incorporation of body language, through hand gestures, which could increase the focus of audience engagement throughout the presentation. Overall nicely done.

Sincerely, Zoe Rarama

Great presentation, with very visually interesting slides but not too cluttered or confusing. You shared what you learned from each step in an artistic and thoughtful way. What would make it perfect would be a bit more time spent looking and interacting with the audience.

You obviously put a lot of effort into the presentation and its aesthetic, which payed off. You can hear the emotion and memories on display in the steps, especially the first one. Your additions to each step really made them your own. You also handled the varying soundscape well, without any major hassle. I just wish you could have shortened it a little.

You had a great presentation. Your heavy focus on reflecting on your childhood gave your presentation a unified theme it all revolved around, and instilled it with a message almost everyone can relate to. You kind of stopped when a problem occurred. Power through it, and no one will notice.

You presented your art in a way that was easy to understand and draw meaning from. You were also able to roll with the punches and not panic when something went wrong. You spoke very fast, so maybe taking a breather for a second and making some eye contact with the audience to see if they're still following would be good.

Your presentation was very well organized. It felt like you know exactly what you were going to say and when you were going to say it without making it feel robotic. Your drawings and photos were also filled with emotion and helped convey what you were saying well. A bit more eye contact to engage the audience would make it perfect!

I liked how you chose to utilize a different format for your presentation. Its always good to know what works best for you personally. One wish I had was your tone, specifically how it was a bit monotone. Some more energy in your voice would really make the presentation better.
