Hey all, I am the instructor for the course. You can call me Carlos, Sir, Mr. Sepulveda or any of those combinations. I have been with STC for about 7 years now, and prior to that I was teaching at UTRGV part-time. In my free time I enjoy playing video games, streaming movies/shows, and/or watching streamers (mostly gaming). I also spend way too much time on YouTube. When I finally get offline, I do enjoy reading books of different genres. I look forward to interacting with you all as best as we can in this fully-online world. Hello I'm Alexsia Santillan, a second-year college student. I will receive my degree in interdisciplinary studies in May after this final semester. Being a labor and delivery register nurse is my dream job. I see myself caring for newborns and helping new moms as they begin their parenthood journey. My current goal is to apply to the LVN program for the fall of 2024 because I recently passed my hesi exam. To gain experience, my goal is to transition from LVN to RN. I love to read in my free time, and lately, I've been obsessed with Colleen Hoover's novels. I also like going for some Starbucks and shop at Target.

I plan to transfer to UTRGV and further pursue my education working towards a master's degree. Hello everyone! I'm a mom of wonderful kids and two adorable Yorkies. Currently, I work full-time from home, and I’m working on my associate's degree in psychology. I aspire to pursue a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership here at STC and eventually transfer to UTRGV for my master's.

Outside of my professional and academic pursuits, I cherish my role as a mom and love spending time with my family. Balancing work, studies, and parenting keeps me on my toes. It isn’t easy to have time for anything else, but when I do, I catch up with my friends and take a break from reality. I enjoy engaging in activities that help me unwind and recharge.

As for an interesting aspect about me, I’m good at noticing punctuation and grammar errors. I swear it comes naturally, and it’s funny because I have a hard time pronouncing big words, as Spanish was my first language.

It's a pleasure to be here another semester. I also want to take a moment to wish you a successful and fulfilling semester and a happy new year!

Hello everyone! My name is Christina. I graduated in 2023 with an Associates of Arts Criminal Justice. I am continuing my education for a BAS Organizational Leadership, hopefully to finish in the Spring of 2025.

I have worked with McAllen ISD for the last 17years as a School Secretary/Bookkeeper. I truly love what I do, but want to move myself up into the Administration Building and work in the business offices.

I am a mother of three girls, ages 34, 29, and 20. My two oldest girls, made me a grandma of three boys at the age of 50! Of course I am a little (ok, alot) older than most in this class, but when I was younger I wasn't able to fullfil my educational goals. I don't regret any of my past, because then I wouldn't be where I am at today. I do want to be proud of myself and show my girls an education is and will always be rewarding at any age.

On my spare time, I spend out on the water fishing with my handsome and amazing boyfriend of nine years. We own a boat and like to spend weekends at the Arroyo in our trailer. We enter many fishing tournaments and spend lots of time with our friends whom enjoy doing the same thing we do.

I also have my own small MOM business, which also keeps me very busy. I make tumblers, wreaths, t-shirts, and so much more.

I want to wish everyone a great semester and continue to live your dreams. Anything's possible!!!

I'm 42 years old and this is my 2nd year in college after 20 plus years of being out of high school. I had put college aside to work and provide for my family and I am super proud of myself for taking the initiative and commitment to actually accomplish one of my goals.
