The main ideas that the Founding Fathers took from Locke were the recognition of unalienable rights, the Social Compact, and limited government. These all attributed to one main idea though, the idea of less government. American just won independence from a huge government power in Great Britain so they wanted to stay away from the idea of a large powerful government. That is why we have our basic human rights displayed through our Amendments. Our Amendments are our unalienable rights that are basically the backbone of our country.
