Introducing students to different skills as you progress through the year will allow you to step back and remove the scaffolding as the test approaches. Creating students who are independent is the goal. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Also, making sure your work is VERTICALLY and HORIZONTALLY aligned with the other teachers in your school - for example, as a 10th grade history teacher I should be sure to check with the 9th grade history teacher to find out what skills they taught so that I can build off of it.  PLUS, I should check with the 10th grade ELA teacher to use the same outline/writing format they do!</div>]]></description>
