         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Comfortable/Uncomfortable:<br>The article makes you feel very taboo, but it's important to be honest about your own biases so you can talk to others about them. It's something everyone needs to talk about and work on.<br><br>The title is comforting because you're taught being racist is bad, but the use of "we're all" helps make you feel like it's something everyone needs to work on.<br>2. Challenging/Confusing:<br>Why do we hold biases against our own group?<br>3. Wondering about/Questions:<br>Working with kids, is it possible to know where the kids stand amongst all of these topics.<br>4. Most want to remember:<br>Humans naturally create "in-groups" based on people that are similar to them. And the easiest and quickest thing you notice about people is how they look. It's important to think past these and connect with people on a deeper level.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A: There is an aspect of feeling of comfort to combat implicit bias, internally thinking of the moments when a thought comes to mind that is not accurate, knowing that we all need to work on. No one is without bias, and there are things we can do to shift our biases.<br>Challenging: if self-reflective can uncover biases, reading was not enough.          <description><![CDATA[<div>It's important as an adult to understand and confront your own biases before you can educate children on them.<br><br>White is the default in our society that we don't really notice, such as in books or in media.<br><br>Even "norms" can be confusing, especially if you're not part of the "norm". <br><br>There is a strong connection between biases and microaggresions.<br><br>All of the practices mentioned in the article to address biases and race was comforting because as a school, we are implementing<br>a lot of those practices. But unfortunately as a country as a whole, these practices aren't as widely used.</div>]]></description>
