This conflict between the English and the french is all about Ohio Country; France and England both want control over the Ohio Country because it is a multi billion fur trade market
We call it the French and Indian War, but the more accurate name is the 7 Year War, from 1757-1764

-French built Fort Dequense (now Pittsburgh)

1760 Fort Duquesne renames Fort Pitt, now modern day Pittsburgh

Pitt changed:
-shifted Great Britain’s focus toward expelling French from North America
- surge of money in North American theatre
- more troops needed & joined
- buy support & cooperation of Native America
Treaty of Easton- Indians promised tono white settlements in their land
