My name is Dan Turner. I come from Newcastle in the UK. Newcastle is famous for its industrial past, friendly people and good nightlife after dark. It is a small but vibrant city. It is close to Hadrian's Wall which is not dissimilar to The Great Wall of China. The Roman's built it around 2000 years ago to keep the Scots from raiding. It formed a boundary of The Roman Empire.

I'd love to tell you about the Yellow Crane Tower. It's a really famous landmark and heritage site in Wuhan, Hubei province. It's got traditional Chinese culture architecture, which is very different from the rest of the area. The Yellow Crane Tower was constructed during the Three Kingdoms period. At that time, because of its perfect location, it was used by the army for observation. But now, it has become a tourist attraction renowned throughout the ages. During the Tang Dynasty, many popular poems were written to praise it.Besides that it enjoy the frame of 'The First Scenery under Heaven',its cultural significance led to its being made the symbol of Wuhan city.

I wanna share “danxia” with u. The mountain is famous for its shape and colour，you can imagine the stripe of the mountain which is similar to a seasoned pork. About its shape, I can’t write more about that. Instead, I would tell you the mountain stands for having more offsprings. In the past, it was a prefect place for exiling, if you were not the native people in this place, it meant you would probably dead in here. So ancient people said, “This mountain just like a dangerous snake with beautiful stripes.” Now, we can get its top safely and enjoy the scenery, however, some place of “danxia” are also dangerous and forbidden.

I’m going to share with you a nearby heritage site— the Tower of London. The Tower of London was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. In 1078, construction of the White Tower began, designed by Bishop Gundulf. It became the central part of the Tower of London. From the 11th to the 18th centuries, it changed its role many times. For example, it served as a royal palace, a prison, an execution site, a military base, and a storage facility. Today, it is a museum, a symbol of British history, and the home of the Crown Jewels.

I am Yi Zhang. I am going to talk about Lingyin Temple, which lies in the well-known west lake resort in Hangzhou. It was first found in JIN dynasty, surrounded by picturesque landscape, called Feilai peak. Although it located in the city centre, it is tranquil away from hustle and bustle.

The walls are painted golden, with a black roof, leaving a religions impression on visitors. It consists of four temples, namely a largest one and three smaller ones.

It is tradition in china for most Chinese., especially on news day. People want to get some blessing from the gold, including me. They prefer to do some worships, including health, wealth and programs in study.

I’d like to share with you about Shaolin Temple,which located in Dengfeng City, Henan Province,China,founded in 495 AD during the Northern Wei Dynasty.

The temple occupies 57,600 square meters,with seven courtyards,including the Hall of Heavenly Kings,Mahavira Hall and Pagoda Forest.It is also the birthplace of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin martial arts.It not only has historical significance but also has architectural and cultural highlights.

Besides,it is renowned as the global symbol of Chinese kung fu, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a National AAAAA Tourist Attraction.

As for the appearence of this towerwhat this tower looks like has been shown through its name! YELLOW CRANE TOWER! From the picture above, you can see that it is very beautiful at night.

Moreover, at the base of the tower, there are two crane sculptures. I have no idea how many years they have been standing in front of the gate.

My name is Lin Chen, I would like to introduce Dazu Rock Carvings which is located in Dazu district Chong qing province, not far from where I live.

Speaking of the history, Dazu Rock Carvings can date back to between 9th to the 13th century. The carvings are famous for their grand scale, aesthetic quality and rich diversity of subject matter as well as for being well perserved.

There are more than 10,000 carvings which depict the themes of Tantric Buddhism and Taoism. Among them, the most well-known is Thousand-Armed Guanyin which attracts so many tourists from all over the world every year.

Therefore, Dazu Rock carvings is the highest level of Chinese cave temple art.

West Lake is a famous lake in Hangzhou, China. It is very beautiful and peaceful. There are green mountains and clear water around the lake. There are two ancient paths here, namely Su causeway and Bai causeway, where people take walks and enjoy the scenery. There are three small stone pagodas in the lake, named 'Three Pools Reflecting the Moon'. On the night of Mid Autumn Festival, they make the moon look like many moons on the water. Nearby is Leifeng Pagoda, an ancient pagoda that originated from a Chinese love story. This lake changes with the seasons. In summer, lotus flowers bloom, and in winter, snow covers the broken bridge. People like to take boats to see the scenery.

The "First Dragon of China" in Puyang, Henan is a very important ancient find. Let me tell you about it .

In 1987, people found this dragon in an old tomb at the Xishuipo site in Puyang. It's made of small shells and is about 6,500 years old. The dragon is 1.78 meters long and looks like it's flying, with a long body and clear head, eyes, and claws.

It's one of the earliest "dragon" pictures in China. In Chinese culture, dragons mean power and good luck. This dragon shows that people started to worship dragons very early, which helps us learn about Chinese dragon culture.

Near the dragon, there's also a shell tiger. Together, they stand for the "dragon and tiger" in old Chinese stories, which relate to the east and west directions in the sky.

This dragon shows how clever ancient people were at making art.

The Great Wall was the great military defence project in ancient China, and the total length of more than 20,000 kilometers. The Great Wall starts from Shanhaiguan in Hebei province in the east and ends at Jiayuguan in Gansu province in the west, it is distributed in 15 provinces, and the most famous heritage is Badaling Great Wall in the Beijing.

The Great Wall has a significant influence in the history of China, particularly in architectural value, military value and cultural value, it is worth visiting. The Great Wall as famous tourist attraction,

My name is Xin He, I'm going to introduce the famous scenic spot in my hometown, it's called Xiaozhuang Garden and located in Tongliao. The cultural tourism area of Xiaozhuang is a large historical and cultural scenic spot with the theme of the birthplace of Queen Xiaozhuang Wen, the mother of the Qing Dynasty and the female politician who was come from Horqin grassland.

I am Yuting Yi. I'd to introduce Sanxingdui museum, which is near my hometown Chengdu. Actually, I haven't been here yet. I've seen a lot of reports and pictures about Sanxingdui on the Internet and have always wanted to go and see it in person.

There are a lot of bronze ware in Sanxingdui museum, the bronzes showed the ancient shu people's advanced forging technology and unique religious beliefs, embodying the ancient shu people fear of the theocracy and natural. Such as bronze divine trees, sun god birds and other shapes. The shapes of the bronze figures all demonstrate the pursuit of "surrealism" in an exaggerated and abstract style, embodying the unique outlook on life and aesthetic values of the ancient Shu people.

I guess I would be deeply shocked to see these bronze wares with my own eyes. What these artifacts reflect is not only a kind of "mystery", but also a profound reflection on the relationship between "human and nature, human and deities, individual and collective".

The Yuelu Academy was established by an ancient official of the Song Dynasty in 976. After many years of dynastic changes, the Yuelu Academy became one part of Hunan University. Although experienced many times of changing the position and a serious fire disaster in Changsha city, fortunately the Yuelu Academy has been preserved beautifully until now.

Besides its long history, the Yuelu Academy also has an excellent environment because it located in the enter of the Yuelu Mountain. I'd like to share you The Forbidden City, located in the center of Beijing, is a magnificent imperial palace complex. Constructed during the Ming Dynasty, it served as the home of 24 emperors over nearly 500 years. With its grand architecture, intricate designs, and rich collection of historical artifacts, it stands as a symbol of China's ancient civilization and imperial power. It features about 980 buildings and over 8,700 rooms. Now a world - famous museum and UNESCO World Heritage site, it attracts many tourists from around the world, offering them a vivid glimpse into China’s imperial history.

I‘d like to share this World Heritage: Amami-Oshima Island, Tokunoshima Island, Northern part of Okinawa Island, and Iriomote Island. These islands are tropical rainforests that remain uninhabited, and they have a very large number of globally endangered and endemic species.

I’d like to highlight a unique species found on this island called “Okinawa rail”, this is an endangered species. The main features of this bird are medium-sized (about 30 cm long), short wings and tails, red beak, red legs and almost flightless. The Okinawa Rail spends most of time on the ground, where it feeds on lizards, snails, and large insects. Although it is a poor flyer, it can run very fast and usually roosts in trees at night, climbing up to sleep on branches or sloping trunks. Pairs are monogamous and often mate for life, nesting on the ground and raising their babies in the dense forest undergrowth.

I hope they will always be here, because they are what make this region so special.
