From 2016 to early 2018, Matt Kinnich engaged as CEO of Language Stars, LLC, where he led a private-equity owned company that included language education centers and more than 200 school partnerships. In this role he oversaw areas including sales, marketing, service, and curriculum development. Mr. Kinnich’s past experience includes serving as vice president of strategic planning and development with the Career Education Corporation. The worldwide post-secondary education provider has operations spanning IT, business, hospitality, and design curricula. Mr. Kinnich’s accomplishments included developing and implementing strategic plans for 85 schools and higher education institutions, and he was successful in ensuring improved regulatory compliance within 18 months after implementing accountability and performance initiatives. Mr. Kinnich also conceptualized an online platform focused on students seeking part-time associate degrees and helped expand a culinary certificate program that fulfilled more than 40 percent of the market demand. The latter resulted in an increase of 500 students within a two year period.
