It helped me understand that the way a lesson is set up and how much information we are giving our students at once is important.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>After completing this assignment, I gained a better understanding about how to support agency in discussions. </p><p><br/></p><p>Teaching a diverse group of students means being prepared to engage in conversations surrounding social justice, racism, privilege, and so forth. </p><p><br/></p><p>During my service learning, I noticed that my host teacher incorporated community circle meetings during the first part of their day. The students in the class had the opportunity to have conversations surrounding topics that were both low and high stake. As the meetings progressed, I noticed students becoming more empathetic towards each other and building the confidence to share aspects of their lives without the fear of being judged or looked dow upon. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I particularly enjoyed this assignment because I learned a lot about the different apps that are being used in the classroom by students, teachers, and schools. I found it interesting to read the short reviews of each app with regards to its difficulty in use and accessibility functions. This assignment made me very cautious about the type of digital tools I bring into the classroom because not every tool will be great to implement in the classroom. For example, ClassDojo is a great tool to use as a classroom behavior management tool, but it shouldn't be something teachers should heavily rely on. Overall, I found striving towards improving technology accessibility for students to be a great conversation to have.</p>]]></description>
