Teaching students effective learning strategies that support their knowledge and skill development by teaching with technology. I had a better understanding of how to transform teaching with technology by learning about three technology integration models the SAMR Model, the PICRAT Matrix, and the TPACK Model.

In the webinar protecting students privacy I learned that students data privacy refers to the responsible, ethical and sharing and protection of student data . I also learned The Family Educational Rights Privacy act: Guarantees that parents have the right of access to their child's educational records and prevents unauthorized disclosure of educational records without consent.

That when big ideas are turned into bite sized (smaller) lessons, children are able to sit with that specific topic and think about it because not too much information was given to them. It helped me understand that the way a lesson is set up and how much information we are giving our students at once is important.

Completing this assignment I learned ways to keep students engaged with digital citizenship characters. This webinar helped me understand how it helps younger students connect with lessons and as a teacher making an emotional connection with kids first is important.

That the media I select for my class should be used when the text is easy to read, videos have captions, and more. This helps me understand that the media I choose to have in my classroom affects the way that my students will be able to learn and engage.

• Without equal accessibility some learners will have a more difficult time 

• For example, if you were to play a video in your classroom and only the students sitting in front can hear it because the volume of the speakers can not be increased

That in a world where media consumption is deeply embedded into nearly everyone's life , it is essential that you offer the same type of multimodal learning experience. Multimedia can increase the appeal of the website, while also offering visitors different ways to connect

• Adding a diversity/inclusive statement in the syllabus

• Sharing my own personal pronouns on the syllabus, learning to pronounce students names

• Using rainbow flags

• Including multicultural and multi gender representation examples

Teaching a diverse group of students means being prepared to engage in conversations surrounding social justice, racism, privilege, and so forth.

During my service learning, I noticed that my host teacher incorporated community circle meetings during the first part of their day. The students in the class had the opportunity to have conversations surrounding topics that were both low and high stake. As the meetings progressed, I noticed students becoming more empathetic towards each other and building the confidence to share aspects of their lives without the fear of being judged or looked dow upon.

Safe spaces involve

• fostering positive relationships with students and staff members

• setting expectations for students

• creating classroom rules that are reinforced upon incidences
