Summary:
Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan where John was to get baptised by him. John tried to change his mind, but Jesus only wanted to be baptised by John. In the end, John agreed. As soon as Jesus was baptised at the Jordan River, the Spirit of God came down from heaven in the form of a dove. Jesus went to Jordan from Galilee to ask John to baptise him but when Jesus asked John, John said "I ought to be baptised by you and yet you come to me.".  Jesus said Let it be so for now. For in this way we shall do all that God requires". Then John baptised Jesus. Then the heavens opened up and God said to Jesus "This is my son with whom I am pleased".
