Hello, I'm Gilda N. Brigoli. I'm a second year college student, currently taking up a Bachelor of Industrial Technology Major in Electronics. I'm 30 years old . And I was born and raised in Purok Suba Mendoza St. Brgy.2 Tuburan,Cebu. I'm a huge fan of Creamline Volleyball and watching TikTok in my cellphone. And I love watching sunset and sunrise. I also like cleaning the house. I'm a picky person when it comes to friendship,but I'm a kind and empathetic person who believes in treating everyone with respect. I grow up in Brgy.2 Tuburan, Cebu my humble town where the amazing, clear and refreshing "Adella River" located as one of the gems of Tuburan, Cebu.

I finished my secondary school at Tuburan National High School S.Y 2009-2010. Me and my twin sister, Glenda, are belong to the old curriculum of highschool education.

My hobbies are simple. I love doing household chores and, of course, dancing. Dancing along to the beat makes me feel good and energized. I appreciate the vibe and atmospheric aspect of the dancefloor. And along with that, doing household chores is like a stress reliever for me. I spent those things as a time passer and felt fulfilled after such a moment.

5. What are some of my proudest accomplishments?

My proudest accomplishment that I have achieved was finishing my high school degree and helping my youngest brother, Tito, to achieve his dream as a seafarer. As an ate, seeing my little brother along with our parents on the ringhop as a moment of achievement felt very fulfilling and a huge success for me. Having a diploma as a matter that my efforts and sacrifices were paid off and helping a sibling to reach his dream was nothing more huge and a wonderful accomplishment than that.

6. What are some of the challenges I've faced in life?

My life has been filled with hardships, the most difficult of which was the death of my father three years ago. Looking back, I was completely devastated and heartbroken. It felt like my world had been flipped upside down, and I was struggling to cope with the loss. But, thanks to the help of my family and friends, I gradually began to recover and embrace reality. My father will always hold a particular place in my heart, and I seek to respect his memory by enjoying life to the fullest and cherishing the time I spend with my loved ones.

7. How have these challenges shaped me as a person?

There are several challenges that happened in my life and now, shaped me as a person. From my past heartbreak that happened year 2017, my greatest 5-year relationship was ended. That moment made me realize that it can't be happy and euphoric all the time but it was indeed so, hurtful and grieving. I once said to myself that 'I will never fall in love, again" but, fate did meet us again. God really meant us to be together. We reunited again on year 2022 and I am now, a bride-to-be. I felt my life with glee and very blessed at this chapter of my life. Until this day, my experiences in my working life in such a young age, it made me resilient and exposed to the reality world that life can be very challenging but worth promising.

8. What are some of my future goals and inspiration?

My future goals in life are finishing my degree, building a comfortable house with my own family, explore every corner of the globe, and embracing the meaning of being a parent. As for my inspiration, it will be my loved ones. They are my stepping stones as I paddle my own canoe.

A fun fact about myself that others may not know is, I guess, being a left-handed person. Maybe some of my classmates know about it, but little did they know that in our family, we are only four members who are left-handed. One is my older sister, Jessie, and the other two are my niece and nephew, the children of my same older sister, Jessie. Most of my family members are right-handed. And I believe that is the unique aspect for myself.

My philosophy in life is the text above. I chose Epictetus's saying because it highlights the value of active listening over speaking. By having two ears and one mouth, we're reminded to listen more and speak less. This practice enables us to understand others deeply, respond thoughtfully, and avoid misunderstandings. Moreover, listening builds empathy and trust, enhancing our relationships and communication. In essence, prioritizing listening over speaking fosters wisdom, connection, and effective interactions.

My family is the most important influence and inspiration in my life. They instilled ideals in me, offered emotional support, and inspired me; they are frequently our first role models. Their guidance has taught me the value of kindness, resilience, and hard work. Their example continues to inspire me to pursue personal development and give back to others in the same way that they have always given to me. My family inspires me in all facets of my life, both personal and academic. Their support and belief in me have been a constant source of motivation. I recall how many times they have been there for me, offering guidance, celebrating my accomplishments, and guiding me through setbacks. Their affection and encouragement are the motivators behind my ambitions and resolve to succeed. Working hard and striving for perfection is how I try to appreciate their sacrifices.
