1) Rubisco, the enzyme responsible to take up carbon dioxide in photosynthesis has more affinity towards oxygen than carbon dioxide. So, rubisco takes takes up oxygen which breaks down glucose.

2)To prevent rubisco from taking up oxygen, a bundle sheath is formed near the vascular bundle. This bundle sheath contains rubisco. The bundle sheath is surrounded by palisade cells, keeping the rubisco enzyme away from oxygen. Carbon dioxide is absorbed by mesophyll cells which contains an enzyme called PEP carboxylase which catalysts the combination of carbon dioxide by a molecule called PEP forming oxaloacetate. This oxaloacetate is further is converted to maleate and passed on to the bundle sheath. The Malate is converted into pyruvate in the bundle sheath cells releasing carbon dioxide needed for the normal process to take place.

3)Hills reaction was done to prove that isolated chloroplasts have reducing capability.

4)The name cyclic phosphorylation has been given because the reaction takes place in a cycle as the electrons which are released from photsystem one returns back to it.

5)nicotineamide dinucleotide

1-The enzyme called rubisco tends to catalyze the combination of rubilose biphosphate with oxygen rather than with carbon dioxide.this reduces the rate of photosynthesis .

2- In bundle sheath cell the co2 is broken to Malate to pyruvate and since 1/2 of the oxygen is wasted ,rubisco will bind co2.

3- hill proved that that NAd has a reducing capability to NADPH

1) Photo respiration takes place in the presence of light to breakdown glucose.

2) Carbon dioxide is obtained from the breakdown of malate to pyruvate. Oxygen is kept away from Rubisco in order to prevent oxygen from binding with Rubisco, so Co2 will bind with Rubisco instead.
