We use CIRCLE to ensure targets for wellbeing and learning are meaningful and relevant to each child and have attached a leaflet for your information. Mrs Scott is our 'CIRCLE Champion' who would be delighted to tell you more about CIRCLE or to answer any questions you may have.

-our overall school attendance is 96%

-almost all of our children are wearing their uniform daily

-we have had two successful open afternoons for parents/carers to meet staff and visit the learning spaces

-our ELCC and P1 parents have met and created some tasty treats with their children

-we have hosted a ‘Cuppa & Connect’ session with the Neurodevelopment Team from the Acorn Centre and helped some families to access support

-our P5/6 & P6/7 pupils are learning to play the ukulele

-our P6/7 pupils are taking part in a dance project that will lead to SQA accreditation

-our P2/3 & P3/4 parents have met and created healthy fruit kebabs as part of Fairtrade Fortnight

-our toothbrushing programme has started in the ELCC

-almost all of our children are using “mindful manners”’ when moving about the school building

I hope you and your family are well and have enjoyed the return to nursery and school this term.

We are delighted to welcome new children and families to the ELCC and to Primary 1! Everyone has had a very successful start and we look forward to continuing to work in partnership with you throughout your child's time at Dalreoch Campus.

Our children have worked tremendously hard to get back into the routine of nursery and school and are enjoying spending time in their refreshed learning spaces. We thank you for your support in ensuring children are in full school uniform and for supporting us in promoting healthy eating by providing healthy options for playtime and in lunch boxes.

The focus this term has been around Health and Wellbeing and Community. This has included further developing friendships and positive relationships; exploring the Rights of The Child by setting up Class Charters and exploring our school vision and values - Dalreoch DREAMS through weekly assemblies.

We are continuing to focus on embedding our 4 Campus Consistencies to help ensure our school is respectful, calm and safe.

All staff are supporting the development of these consistencies by using key language and visual pictures to ensure all children are included.   

As part of our commitment to streamlining and developing our approaches to communication we will use Parent Pay and Parent Portal to share and gather information with you.

In the next few weeks we will use Parent Portal to seek permission for class/school trips and for you to book parents' night appointments. I would encourage you to please get in touch with the school office if you need any assistance in setting either of these accounts up so that you are not delayed.
