(Women's March, Pride, etc) There are millions of people on social media, so it would be pretty easy for people to organize online for a cause. It would be difficult to have a revolution built on strong ties today because the way happens and information is spread is different than before. This is seen in the Trump election because he is a very verbal person who uses, specifically Twitter, to voice his opinions. Many voters based their decision on a lot of what Trump tweeted and determined whether or not he was the right candidate based on this. The Arab Spring/Middle Eastern revolution started on social media. During this period people communicated on social media, organized a place for protest, expressed their ideas on Social media and it worked. Egypt and Tunisia was revolutionized.

My evidence from the article is the idea of strong and weak connections. For without strong connections nothing will get done and no progress will be made towards the issue. What I'm trying to say is that the next revolutionary leader will not come within the next year or so, but if social media (twitter,YouTube,Instagram,etc..) developed into a platform that allows stronger connections, there there is a strong possibility. But the chances of that happening is little to none dude to the nature of social media as of now.

I don't think that something will be as effective, but I think some kind of change can be much more easily spread through the internet. Unlike the civil rights movement, where things really only happened in a concentrated area, we can have activists doing stuff all over the world. I think it lacks some kind of structure or form of leadership, but I think people should be smart enough to figure all that out. Like with the protests going on now for various reasons, those are mainly spread through social media and we hear about them all the time. I think we have yet to make real concrete change, but I would probably blame that on the stubbornness of the law makers.
