It's here that i realised that I'd found a forever home with this human.

This is the only picture of Shady and I together.. we went on a random adventure to Karla Caves. I'm not sure why there was a place where people could take a picture with a stuffed tiger.. but there was.. so we obviously had to take this picture!!

I'll always remember him like this... deep in thought and calm... in a certain kind of peace that I felt embracing me as I sat beside him...
This is picture is taken 30 seconds before he looked up to me and said "I wish the world was a better place. It's exhausting to keep up with these humans who think they can say whatever they like and have no consequences." (in context of the current political climate of India)

I am usually not the best at making new friends. When I meet new people I tend to be a little bit avoidant, unwilling to put myself out there. When I met you, it was so easy to let my guard down sooner, because that is just how you carried yourself through the world. You were always unabashed, kind, playful, curious, and passionate.

what great can come out of dancing silent disco in the streets meeting this most warm, open, caring, humorous amazingly curious and enthusiatisc friend.

you were always there to go out for new food, a cup of tea, endless conversations, new music and hang at strada cafe in our common explorations of the new place we moved to.

you were the one who helped me feel at home and a live in a new continent.

you were there one that was there for me when my grandfather died on the other side of the world.

you were the one telling me to "stay in there" and who truly listened to all my thoughts and feelings.

i am so grateful to have known you.

An evening of his favourite G&T, our common playlist of TM Krishna, Kishori Amonkar, Daag Dehlvi, Khusro...and the list will go on. Never knew an amethyst would make you so happy and that token would seal our love so strongly. I never thought that your "I will miss you" would be that serious Jaideep. As difficult as it would be to fulfill those promises without you, I will try my best, day by day. PS: I love you.

To the beautiful soul who left on an earlier bus than scheduled.
An acquaintance turned pal who I connected and bonded with so deeply over things all Pune and otherwise.
We engaged in conversation on a speaking application but felt like we have been friends for decades and more.
I have no visual memory of us, because this September was when we were to meet, hug and regale in each other's company.
I will always treasure your memory, as a sound (quite literally), cause of your words and your mad beats. The Silent White Room will miss it's favorite dj.
