         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p><strong>Purpose:</strong> to ensure bilingual students can learn English enough to receive a successful education in school</p></li><li><p><strong>Format: </strong>Many ESL classes pull students out of their typical class and meet with them in small groups</p></li><li><p><strong>Length of Instruction:</strong> Most ESL teachers meet with students for 30-60 minutes, a couple of times a week. Depending on how much the child struggles with English, this could change. </p></li><li><p><strong>Teacher Qualifications:</strong> ESL teachers require a Bachelor's Degree in education, they also need a separate ESL teaching certification (separate from typical teaching certification).</p></li></ul>]]></description>
