This year started off with learning ratios. We compared how it write a ratio with a fraction line, colon, and the word "to". A ratio is a way to compare two numbers. Next we learned unit rates and rates. To find a rate is to look at a unit rate compared to one. And a rate is comparing a number to one. Next we learned how to solve a problem with percent. Next, we learned how to make a fraction into a decimal, a decimal into a percent, and a percent into a fraction.

This year, I learned how to make a decimal a percent, a percent a fraction, and a fraction a decimal. You make a decimal a percent by multiplying it by 100. You make a percent a fraction by having the denominator be 100. You make a fraction a decimal by dividing it.

I learned how to multiply decimals. You don't have to line up the decimals and you just multiply normally and then when you're done you put the decimal on how much it is to the side of the number
