         <description><![CDATA[<p>Mid 1972, burglars were put in prison at the DNC (Democratic National Committee).&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 13px;">They were thought to be connected to  president Nixon. After a while of trying to </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">cover it up, Nixon was caught and resigned shortly after. </span></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I believe that president Nixon did not make the Hall of Fame</p><p>and rather made the hall of shame but was close. Even after passing many new rights for</p><p>women, conservation with clean air, and desegregating schools. Nixon has done many good</p><p>things for this country, but even through all of it people still remember him for one thing only, </p><p>the Watergate scandal, it will forever ruin his reputation and see him as a not so good person </p><p>in America's eyes. Richard Nixon made the hall of shame.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>- Chief Executive- As a president Nixon signed a total of 346 executive orders,  also Nixon </p><p>appointed many people including Henry Kissinger as National security adviser.</p><p>- Commander in Chief- Takes action to help aid Israel in their Yom Kippur war.</p><p>- Chief Diplomat- Visited many countries over his about 5 years as president, inclu<span style="font-size: 13px;">ding a </span></p><p>trip to Europe within the first month of his presidency. Also creating better bonds with</p><p>Russia and China near the end of his presidency, before he resigned.</p><p>- Legislative Powers- Passed numerous bills, and also new organizations like the EPA to</p><p>help protect the environment. </p><p>- Chief of State- In May of 1973, Nixon hosted hundreds of POW's at the White House,</p><p>so far its the largest dinner up to date.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>                                           Richard Nixon</p><p>   Richard Milhous Nixon was born January 3rd, 1913, and would be the second of five kids from Frank and Hannah Nixon. Richard Nixon grew up on a lemon farm for most of his early life, but lost 2 of his brothers in his early age.</p><p>   Richard Nixon attended 2 different high schools, Whittier and Fullerton. Graduated second in his class while Harvard offered him a scholarship. He declined due to finance issues and just went to a community college, but got offered a full ride to Duke Law School, and took the offer.  After his return he went to Washington D.C. to find a job working under FDR, he became disillusioned with the New Deal, and went out to become part of the Navy, he rose all the was to lieutenant commander before he resigned in early 1946</p>]]></description>
