I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G85. I take pictures of people, nature, and land-/cityscapes. But, I’ve branched out into sport photography as well. The background of this Padlet is a picture I took in Chicago.

I listen to everything but always fall back on R&B. I chose "One Wish" by Ray J because it's a classic and because I may or may not sing it in the shower.

I was born and raised in Minnesota and have been in the district since preschool. I'm a second-generation Vietnamese-American and have a strong connection to my culture. I'm very family- and friend-oriented. Outside of school I enjoy volleyball, photography, cooking, drawing, and video games. I believe loyalty and compassion are two of the most important traits that one should inhabit.

In June, I went to the last state tournament hosted by the Minnesota Boys High School Volleyball association as we're now a sanctioned sport under the Minnesota State High School League! I was invited by Varsity to come along and take pictures for them. In August, my family and I went to Chicago. We visited Chinatown, Lincoln Park Zoo, Millennium Park, and the Field Museum. I took a bunch of pictures there (I think over 300) since there's a lot of great views. Plus, there's almost no mosquitoes there which was a nice break from getting bit every time I went outside in Minnesota.

What's Going Well

I think being in the moment has been going really well. It sounds cheesy, but it's nice to take a step back and smell the roses, you know? The thing that's been keeping me going is the connection I have with people, especially at SLP. Being able to express compassion and to laugh at yourself every once in a while is so important to living a good life. Master Oogway once said, "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present."

Strengths & Needs

Something I take pride in is being able to talk to anyone. I like to believe that I easily get along with people and can just chat it up with them. I guess it's why I could never be nonchalant. But, I can be very impatient and always want to keep going ahead. All I really need is some peace and quiet at times.
