         <description><![CDATA[<div>Korea was annexed by japan in 1910, which led to the Korean emperor handing the power of the country to the Japanese. Because of this annexation Korea struggled politically, economically, including getting their education system corrupted by the Japanese, and many more disadvantages as a country.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Taisho period was when the Emperor was Emperor Yoshihito. During this period, there were protests, changes in society, in the government and more, which led to the country taking a step in becoming more liberal. The Modern boy and Modern girl movements/actions also took place in the Taisho period, where women wore bright clothes, wore bolder/stronger makeup, and went against the traditional standards that they were supposed to follow. While men also dressed more boldly and made more actions to go against the traditional standards that were set for them.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>World War I was a global war that took place all over the world, however started in Europe. The war was centered with the “central powers”, which were Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey, Versus, the “allies” which were France, Great Britain, Russia, Italy, Japan, and the U.S. Eventually the “allies” won, but the whole war itself resulted in about 20 million deaths which was one of the deadliest wars in history making this historical event very significant.</div>]]></description>

Before this the Japanese had ruled over Korea and had taken over their education system, and more that disadvantaged Korea. This movement was not very impactful in fighting for the independence of Korea but still inspired other countries to fight for their independence as well.</div>]]></description>

This incident started when a insignificant amount of dynamite was placed on a railroad which caused it to explode near the city of Mukden, however the explosion was too weak on the attempt of bombing the railroad tracks.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Marco Polo Bridge Incident was a fight between China’s National Revolutionary Army, and the Imperial Japanese Army, near the Marco Polo Bridge. This started when a soldier failed to go back to his supposed team which ended up giving the Japanese an excuse to attack the Chinese towns while making a justified excuse saying they were searching for the particular soldier. This was an important event because it was one of the causes of the Sino-Japanese War.</div>]]></description>

The event eventually led to the death of 50,000 to 300,000 people, which clearly shows us how important this event was in history. This event was one of the worst Japanese War crimes that happened during World War II. </div>]]></description>

This event also led to the United States joining World War II.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Firebombing of Tokyo (March 9-10, 1945)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Firebombing of Tokyo is an event in which the United States air forces have done a firebombing raid on Tokyo. Because of this firebombing raid, there were about 80,000 to 130,000 that were killed. The purpose of this bomb was in an attempt to weaken the Japanese. Curtis Lemay also took a big part in this Firebombing since he was the one who recommended the tactic since Japan had mainly wooden buildings, which would make the fire from the bombing spread faster and easier. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Atomic Bombing of Japan was when the atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the atomic bombs that were dropped in this event were the first and only atomic bombs that were dropped. The bombing roughly killed around 129,000 to 226,000 people. The first bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima was called “Little boy” while the second bomb that was dropped on Nagasaki was called “Fat man”. These bombs were dropped in an attempt to end World War II. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal (April, 1946)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal was a military trial that tried the leaders and men in the military for joint conspiracy, crimes against humanity, and conventional war crimes. There were a total of 28 Japanese men that were tried for war crimes, the results being; 3 not guilty, 7 sentenced to death, 16 sentenced to life imprisonment, and 2 other shorter imprisonments. This was an important event in history because this trial showed the world the inhumane and disgusting actions/crimes that were taken during the war. </div>]]></description>
