The three weeks we shared in class is one bittersweet journey. It's sad that we only get to meet with you and be amazed by your brilliance and eloquence during our limited hours of synchronous classes. Nevertheless, I am still thankful that our class had the privilege to be under your tutelage. Your passion for teaching international law is inspiring! I can only aspire to be as great as you are.

Atty, thank you so much for being so understanding and patient amidst difficult times. I cannot help but imagine how fun our classes would be if we were all together in a classroom just like the old times. But, hey... life goes on.

I wish you the best of luck for your future endeavors, Atty! Take care always!!! I hope to meet you someday 😊

We're very luck that we have a teacher who is passionate in his teaching and studies (in international law) and is able to effectively convey such passion to his students. I am sure that I'm not the only one in our class who has come to love this subject (or love it even more). Our classes with you always goes beyond the four walls of the classroom (or I guess in our current state, the four walls of our computer screens?) teaching us the both about the beauty and ugliness of this world. It does help me remind that our studies not is not just for our individual goals, what he have learned (and will continue to learn) should be used to serve the people. I can only dream to be as good and as passionate as you in international law, but as they say "Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars" (cHoS?)

Again, thank you Atty. and I wish you good luck Atty with your future ventures!

I honestly wish PIL was a sem long subject instead of a modular one. I can only imagine the kinds of discussion our class would have if we were given more time. However, aside from teaching us the technical aspects of PIL, I sincerely thank you for reminding us that passing the bar is merely a stepping stone in our legal career. There are indeed bigger battles that must be fought for both in the domestic and international arena--that to seek freedom and justice requires an active and collective effort. Nelson Mandela himself, in his inaugural speech in 1994, once said "We understand it still that there is no easy road to freedom. We know it well that none of us acting alone can achieve success. We must therefore act together as a united people, for national reconciliation, for nation building, for the birth of a new world.”

We hope you know Atty. that whatever new world we students wish to make in the future, and one which is hopefully more just and kind than the present, will be due to your influence on us.

Honestly, I found the topic of Public International Law hard because my initial understanding of it was that it was just paper that nations sign.
Over the course of our discussions, i have learned that Public International Law is definitely more than that. To sum up my understanding of it, It is the document that builds the bridges of nations. Such appreciation of the subject would not have spurred up if it weren't for your passionate and relatable way of teaching and timely delivery of "tea-service"

There was a quote that stuck to me in the MUN i attended. Said by a notable speaker during that event which goes "Internationalism is the key to Nationalism". I have never truly grasped its general application but our discussions definitely showed me a different approach to it. Thank you so much Atty. Pandi for showing a "light to the world", inspiring us to do more things, to not limit our legal knowledge to the internal field, but to strive more and learn the legal climate of the world.

What I love most about this class and you as a teacher is the fact that it is a positive environment where the students' understanding is placed at the core and where mistakes are not something to be treated as shameful but are a learning experience instead. More importantly, the passion that you have for PIL, particularly for the plight of the displaced refugees and those subjected to violence by their own State is inspiring me to also pursue my profession with a compass grounded on advocacy.

I was really excited when I found out that you will be my PIL prof for this semester because you do have an impressive reputation for teaching the subject very well. I'm glad I finally got to experience it firsthand! Thank you thank you so much for being sooo understanding and patient to us. Through the 3 short weeks of our PIL subject, you saw through our struggles as students and took that into account. You taught with composure, compassion, and flexibility that met the requirements of modular learning without compromising quality. You adjusted so well to our needs as your students, and we really really appreciate everything that you've done for us. I really enjoyed attending and studying for your course.

Thank you for always reminding us to take care of ourselves and our mental health. We all know we should do it but sometimes, it hits different when someone actually reminds you to do it. We hope you also take care of yourself, Atty! Rest when you can! Keep safe always.

I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my hear.
I find this subject really difficult and not so interesting at the start but you did your best to make it interesting and more importantly, meaningful.
It was a fun ride and Atty. It saddens me that we only have classes for 3 weeks. I really would've enjoyed it if it were the whole semester. You made the topics simple and understandable despite the extremely long cases. Thank you very much for that Atty.! Take care and God bless!

I met you in Mokey’s Belly during Sinulog weekend and I got so kilig cause you talked to us 1st years like we’re one of your peers and that for me was one of my favourite nights!

Sadly we only get to experience you virtually for the shortest period of time. I am honestly really sad because the few days of classes with you were very insightful and exciting altogether.

I’m always super nervous in a class that has recitations that I cannot focus on the whole discussion until I know I’m safe but then with you I could actually relax and listen. I am very thankful for this because nerves could sometimes get the better of me. When we struggle during recitations you don't make us fear for our lives haha.

Your passion with this subject really shows in how you discuss and we are thankful that you make it easier for us to understand. I hope to one day find something I will be passionate about that could also serve as help for others.

It really would have been better if we had the whole semester with you Atty, but still we are fortunate enough for this short experience with a professor like you.

Thank you so much Atty! Here’s to big dreams, stay safe and happy Atty!

Honestly, it can sometimes feel really intimidating to be in lawschool everyone just seems so brilliant but professors like you truly exemplify humility. Sometimes I think of professors as gods who come down to earth to bless us with their wisdom (as funny as it may sound). I am thankful to have been one of your students for this subject.

I truly appreciate that you share with us your experiences in your culture and your advocacies.

Oftentimes, it can feel really discouraging because the legal profession seems to be dull and complex? that we often miss the essence of advocacies in the legal profession. They say that the world needs more pragmatists but the whole purpose of why the world still continues to live for tomorrow is because of idealists like you who are brave enough to work on a better tomorrow. For as long as there are people like you who are willing to see a better world, I think the world still has a chance. I pray that the universe treats you kindly and I hope that you reach far places. Lastly, I hope you can teach more students in future so that they may see the world from your perspective.

Here's a little artwork I made for you.

You made the study of Public International Law interesting and engaging. I learned a lot in the past three weeks! You made the unclear cases and concepts crystal clear by discussing it in ways that it relates to us better. I will always remember that life is indeed beautiful, in spite of and despite of.

Stay safe always! God bless you and your future endeavors!
💜

Thank you for constantly reminding professors like me why we do things that we do, and why we should continue doing 'em.

It had been a difficult ride for me, too. But you also made it more meaningful, worthwhile, and bearable. So quits ra gyud ta ani. ;)

I'll be rooting for all of you.
