1. I think that Stevenson identified with this story because he is from a small community. This story represents Walter and his community/family because he was innocent for the crime since he was at the fish fry with his family. Ralph Myers accused Walter of committing the crime even though he didn't do anything wrong just like John did in "Of the Coming of John".
2. The state of the world has never made me feel hopeless like this because I don't care about what other people think about me doing something wrong. I think we can change the hope in the hopelessness by just trying to understand what other people are going through. Everyone has different situations that they have been through that make them do things that they probably shouldn't. If we find the hope in the hopelessness it will make everyone's problems a little bit easier to get through.

1)
2) I have felt the state of the world has made me feel hopeless at times, even though i know how good this world has we have just that same amount as bad too. Its hard to say how to change this because you would have to change everyone view in life, and you cant possibly do that. But what we can do is teach about respect, kindness, equality, and justice in an equal manner and at a young age. no matter what not everyone is gonna agree for better or for worse but we all need to start treating each other the way we wanna be treated and also pretend that you are in that persons shoe and how would you act and wanna be treated

1) I think Stevenson identified with the short story because he resonates with the main character. He and the main character are trying to do the best they can for their community.
2)There has been a couple times when I felt the world wasnt going to change. Like we were going to be stuck in this phase where no one wanted to take time to understand whats really happening. One way to change a situation would be to just spread awarence. Take accountibilty and know when and where to help yourself and others.

1.
2. I have felt that the world is hopeless, and even to this day I fear the world may never change. Everyone experiences a different reality, and I have first hand experienced what it is like to be perceived as "different" to other people. Although some people are openminded and very accepting of others, some are bigoted and uncivil, they could not care less for the well being of others. Through selflessness and open-mindednes, the world could be an easier place for everyone to live their own individual reality in peace.
