Here is something I would like to hear more about: l asked at the 2nd meeting for oversight and accountability in adapted classrooms for using FCPS-approved adapted literacy curriculum as appropriate for each student (meaning multiple curriculums delivered in the classroom to meet the varying needs of students). I commend the call for accountability for general education teachers to commit time to phonics and phonemic awareness. But I also feel then that similar accountability must exist in the adapted curriculum classrooms. For equity, please work with DSS on supplying "grab and go" lessons to adapted classroom teachers as well. They need their own easily-searchable platform to find ready-to-go lessons.
