What is valuable and why?Self Knowledge: From what I have learned today. I have learned the different ways Cambodians value things in their culture. Base, from my knowledge I also understand that there are certain things Cambodians value and don't. To my knowledge again, Cambodians value money, education, religion, traditions, and superstitions, but they don't value being disrespectful. From this lesson, I have also read the article about how true or not the article is taking about Cambodian culture in general. To my knowledge, the things that Cambodians value and don't value things that can affect the behavior and attitudes of many people. If that person is open minded then, their attitude would not be as angry or swears a lot. And If that person is always being disrespectful then then that person's attitude would always swear. Well, that's at least to my knowledge. But it also doesn't mean that people Cambodian people aren't always like this. Some of them can change for the better or for the worse.

Perspective: From what I believe, All countries have their own values or the thing that they don’t value. well, not all countries value the same thing, since they have different belief, and different religion to start. Cambodia is an exception of having their own value, like, happiness, family, wealth, respect, freedom, education, health, religion and etc. Over, 97% of the population in Cambodia follow Buddishm, and the other 3% follow Christianity and etc. beside that, people in Cambodia are religious too, from prediction or doing fortune telling on what day the husband and the bride should be marriage and about luck. if one of the people don’t value one of the things, then they will neither get a lot of hate, or their reputation will be ruin. although, they have a lot to value, there also some stuff that is consider rude to the Cambodia people, such as, being disrespectful, patting someone head who is older then you, and etc. the one that people should know that meeting the elderly, they should bow their hand down, and use both of their hand to pray and greeting the elderly. a lot of kid growing up in Cambodia are getting used to this thing, so sometime they might make some mistake which will causes a bit of problems toward their parent, but overall, it just the tradition way of how Cambodia people live.

What is valuable and why?Topical EQ: What do Cambodians value (or not value). Self knowledge: I think the things tat are valuable is according to what you like for example Cambodian people like And the majority of Cambodians practice their religion, including younger generations. Monks are respected, pagodas litter the country, images of Buddha hang in homes above offerings, and temples are attended during religious holidays and Buddhism's also used at Cambodia. Another valuable thing for them could be singing because like in Cambodia wherever you go there is always singing does not matter like at the market at restaurants and more they all love to sing which is why there are lots of singers and concert that are hosted here at Cambodia. Another valuable thing is Family because Family comes first, second and third in Cambodia, with life revolving around the home. Families also seems to be large, with siblings, aunties, uncles, cousins and other distant relatives coming together during large celebrations, such as Pchum Ben and Khmer New Year, to celebrate together which makes them happier when there together.

Explanation:
Value can be different according to the countries and traditions, today we're talking talking about Cambodia.
Cambodians value a lot of things such as tradition/culture, family, elderly people, holidays, and religion. These values can affect their behavior in many ways, since Cambodians value holidays people can close shops or don't go to work just to celebrate the holidays, One holiday in particular is called "oum tuk" where there would be boat racing and people go and watch even the king and we do this every year. Family, every Cambodians always respect their families and family always come first that include elderly people where every time there is an elderly person we would always bow down to show respect. All of these behavior makes us more respectable and help us learn to enjoy our traditions.

What do Cambodians value (or not value) How can it affect behavior and attitude?
Explanation: Cambodia is an amazing country with wonderful and friendly people living within the country's borders. Cambodians value their cultures, people, food, and public holidays. To begin with, many people living in Cambodia value their religion and culture because culture and religion is very crucial and it's a necessity for Cambodians to celebrate national holidays within the country. Majority of Cambodians believe in Buddhism and it's the main religion in Cambodia. During Cambodia public holidays, Khmer people usually make their ways to the temple. This can affect behaviors and attitudes in a way such as being biased, due to the strong beliefs Cambodians have, majority of them claims that religion is crucial in our everyday life.

Explanation: For me, Cambodia is a very religious country. So what I think is Cambodians value religion and beliefs. That is not all, for me i think Cambodians also value their tradition, national pride, learning, and being gentle/polite. I think all these are very important and Cambodians value the most because Cambodians belief in Buddhism and the reason is because as we can see theres a lot of temples which proves that they really value religion and also they also value education because they need kids to focus on school and most the people in Cambodia go to temples when its a holiday and this can affect their behavior and attitudes by sometimes they could be biased from what they belief and claims that theres no other religion and it can change their behavior because they're focusing on tradition too much that it could change the way they behave.

FOU: Explanation
Topical Question: What do Cambodians value (or not value)? How can things affect attitudes and behaviours?
There are many things Cambodians are known for. They are quite resilient against almost any hardship and can get back on their feet in almost no time, they are very passionate about their tradition, culture, and religion, they mostly care about their family, and are relatively polite. The average Cambodian will have different values, although they will always have a spot for their religion and culture, such as having many public holidays for the public to enjoy, spend time with the whole family, prepare several unique meals, and go to pagodas to pay their respects, wish for good luck in their life, and overall be happy. Every wedding has very loud music for celebration and happiness, and even funerals have music played, along with loud fireworks mainly set at night, to allow good spirits and ancestors to enter their lives and give them support. All of these things are relatively important to a Cambodian, as they give families together, creates harmony, joy, and happiness, and overall, allow people to connect more with themselves, and everything around them.

Cambodia really value a lot of fun times and their families because in past Cambodia is like the natives that live out of the city and they would hunt for food and eat it and they value family because of that because they hunt together too and a lot of our ancestor behavior and trait have rubbed of on us, and our tradition is what helped us to honor them with respect with what they have done to create the country and language, and us Cambodia really like to party during like payday or a day that something special is happening like a holiday some families would gather up together and play games like cards or traditions get like hide the towel(i don't know the actual name of the game in English) and many more and also there's many more about Cambodia like the history they had with other countries like Thailand, also Cambodia is very religious because it is a good deed to do like when going to the pagoda to offer free things to help other people and children that don't have the necessarties to learn and have a chance to change their life.

Explanation: Cambodians value family and their culture. From experience, I grew up in a very religious household where we celebrate certain things and do certain things to remain faithful. We go to temples and we go to pagodas on certain dates for religion, as well as following the traditions that our ancestors have taught us to do. So I would say that Cambodians are mostly religious and care about their history, I am speaking on everybody's behalf that we care a lot about our temples, our ancient relics, and artifacts. This type of behavior has affected our personalities where we care a lot and cherish our past, we believe that the past shaped us, because we believe that our history is the most important thing we should value.

Topical EQ: What do Cambodians value (or not value). How can this affect behavior and attitudes?
Many countries all round have their own values and beliefs, not only that but everyone has their own values and beliefs as well. Their values can vary depending on their environment or things they're being exposed to growing up. There are many things that Cambodians value because of the influence of their surrounding environment, to name a few, theres religion, tradition, culture, and family. Despite everyone having different values depending on the person but they all value their culture and tradition very much. Our culture and tradition plays a very big role in our lives, for example, wedding ceremonies, they play a really big part in our lives, it's a very good example of our traditions that has been kept going from generation to generation and will continue to be treasured. Not only is there the marriage ceremony, there are much much more that are equally as important and valued by Cambodians. Cambodians take great pride in our culture and traditions, we are very proud of them. But theres also the religious aspect that can cause them to be quite biased from time to time.
