         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>In parent teacher interviews, use the language of reflection, encouraging parents to ask their children questions about "What did you do?  How can you make it even  better? What could you do next?  What if we tried…..?”</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>Use a parent/student teacher communication book to record behaviours throughout the day - focus on specific self assessing behaviours your are observing or that you are aiming to develop in particular students.</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li> Record observed behaviours with an online journal such as seesaw/Active Learning Journal. <ul><li>Keep a portfolio for parents (either digitial or paper) which shows growth against specific self-adjusting behaviours - for example could include writing their name at different points in the year and point out the changes the child had made, audio record or video record a discussion with the student about their writing or their drawing asking specific questions about what they are doing and how they plan to improve it.</li><li>Make it a two way digital portfolio where parents send a message/photo/video of their child displaying target self-adjusting learning behaviours eg - taking action or initiative to set up a shop and play money games and are using the vocabulary of money.</li></ul></li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>Provide parents with a checklist of target reflective behaviours for a two week period<ul><li>Link with the Topic or UOI that the children are focussed on</li></ul></li></ul>]]></description>
